It's funny how white people say we complain about racism and "play the race card" all the time.

Bottom line is by and large, people hire who they think they will be comfortable being around daily.

Departments are like mini kingdoms within companies. Ppl are usually more comfortable with their own. If you get an Indian manager, you gonna see lots of Indians get hired...a white manager will have a lot of white ppl...asian mgr, Asians. Hispanic mgr, hispanics..And so forth..You might get a few black ppl peppered in here and there...

Only ppl who routinely violate this shit is black ppl. More times than not, niggas be too scared to rock the boat and hire black ppl. BUT, if you get a black manager that is not scared to, they will hire other black ppl and if the department performs well, the trend will take root in that company...and as more blacks get promoted or more black managers are hired the company culture will include higher numbers of blacks....

I'm in analytics.. I see a lot of job listings at JP Morgan in NYC.. I may look into applying to a few since this is a point of emphasis for em. I'll also be sure to overcharge them for my services.. I'll report back with my findings..

I don't think a lot of black people are as interested in working in finance tho versus other areas like engineering/technical services, healthcare, etc. I remember going out and volunteering and cats were saying how "banks aren't for them", we gotta Bridge the gap between black people and banks because if you look at history there isn't a good relationship there (from Lincoln onwards). I wish more brothas were in banking. The few I see out here we clique up quick cuz we know how it is.

It's hard to preserve and keep money within the black community when we're ​not utilising the most important institution required for wealth. There's a lack of trust and therefore a lack of interest in the field.

You lucky you don't work for a bank here in the states. I'd make sure I come to do an audit on that bitch and fail you guys. Lmao!
