hip hop fans dont respect legends in the game.Even if you dont like their music you can still respect how they were pioneers and changed the game but most hip op fans dont do that.

Jim Jones saying Jay is a ol head yet he is over 30...

You don't hear fans of rock dissing Ozzy Osbourne or fans of Latin music dissing Marc Anthony, they embrace them for the good music they were able to give them for a consistent number of years.

Until Hip Hop steps up musically and the artistry . More musicianship , instrumentation , acceptance of individuality etc . It will always be lacking compared to other genres .

i cant think of any legends in the game besides tupac right now that are really respected by the majority of hip hop fans.
