Jay Elect will probably be a disappointment in terms of his career and nonexistent albums, but yall talking about him being ‘overhyped’ are wrong.

He is lyrically incredible, the hype was warranted, he had GOAT potential. Pretty much every verse he drops to this day is better than his peers. He’s a bum and doesn’t wanna put out an album for whatever, but he is that good.

As much as my attitude is “fuck this lazy nigga”, I’d choose a new 5 song Jay Elect EP over a new album from anyone else in the “new school” of rappers. He’s better than them, definitely including Joe Budden.

No excuses for his laziness, but Jay E is next level with the pen.
