Uh, looking back, this song wasn't that good at all. And back then I was definitely cheering for the Interscope machine so I'm certainly not being biased.
1. You got Eminem, a white shock rapper signed to Dr. Dre's label of all places, trying to tell us who Pac would and would not have associated with. Anyone with a brain knows that Pac would have dissed the fuck out of Eminem the moment he saw him. And Em was Dre's artist. "Pac was still alive he would never ride with Ja"? No Em, if Pac was still alive you wouldn't have a career because he would've drug your ass through the mud. The 90's = rap was much more than just rap music. Niggas got stomped out. Niggas died.
2. What's worse than a white shock rapper signed to Dre? A black rapper signed to a white rapper signed to Dre. And then he's interpolating a 2Pac verse? C'mon son.
Busta was the only true spotlight on this song because up until then, he had always been the animated fun-loving guy that nobody would even consider dissing. That's why I resent this song... Busta was never the same after Hail Mary 2001.
