J. Cole's New Album, "2014 Forest Hills Drive" Dropping Dec 9th

I'm actually hyped about this new release from Cole. If the trailer holds any details to the new album then I expect that Warm Up J.cole. He gotta get that edge back that he once had. I used look forward to hearing a new J.cole verse. Let's be real Born Sinner was a disappointment. And hopefully this album redeems his status as one of the elite. Content wise I'm expecting a wide range unlike on BS where most of the songs were female oriented. If he can show growth while retaining his signature style it just might be the Album of the year

Cole dope but he cant top Cadillactica... shit was too nice

U gotta a point there. Cadillactica is amazing all the way though. But Cole even though he's from the south brings u more of the cypher/gritty rhymes that makes u wish 90's hip hop never went away. Both great artists with unique styles. It'll be interesting hearing what people say after this albums comes out

He's gonna drop a great album this go round. He's been working with dj dahi, hit boy, organized noise, vinylz, timbaland, dj mustard and even London on the track. All he needs is outside production and he's got a surefire great album, tho i personally liked Cole's production on born sinner.

I agree the production on Born Sinner was on point just wish his subject matter was too. Maybe like big kit working with different producers will help appeal more especially to those people who say his music is boring or go to sleep to it. Which isn't the case at. Cole Is one of the few who try their hardest to remain true

Just out the gate he's gonna sell at the bare minimum 150k first week. Cole is a gold artist but if this album lives up to the hype then he could possibly get in the platinum category for the first time.

So Cole and Kendrick releasing albums at the same time. This is what needs to happen:

1. Joint tour

2. Release that collabo album

I already know cause I felt the same because it ain't hit on 1st listen like GKMC

Ended up seeing Cole live, made Trouble/She Knows favorites because of how hard they sound live

Went back into the album earlier this year w/o the expectations and the shit was all of a sudden dope to me

Cosign.

Saw Cole live on Born Sinner tour and it was the best rap concert I ever went to.

His use of a live band set him apart from most hiphop performers.

I love rap but the concerts are 9 times out of 10 garbage compared to other genres. Usually cant even hear the vocals properly and shitty sound quality.

After I saw Cole I know it can be done proper but live instrumentation is a must.

Was there confirmation that he gonna have outside production on it? Hope it's true cuz if so it's the smart choice now though I like his beats more times than none. I wanna hear something from him to get an idea of where he's going with it this time

to me collab albums are highly overrated i would rather have them have a few features across both their upcoming albums and do a joint tour

dawg don't even act like you ain't anticipating shenco and bruse wane's Two Fuck Boys In A Honda

or Gudda Gudda and Jae Millz's Straight Outta Birdman's Bushes.

Those 2 will be classics

I actually just listened to Born Sinner yesterday.

I had got a speaker from Sprint for free, Trouble was knocking!

He hit the nail on the head. Outside production. That's all he needed I guarantee it won't be anything less than 4/5. He sounds way better on other shit although production on BS was much better than Cole World.

Can't wait. He must've knew because a nigga was wondering what he been doing on the music tip.
