Wale was right

@MrCrookedLetter‌ how?

He said on his Breakfast Club interview that he wanted his peers to just drop any kinda music they wanted, not worry about radio singles or label bs and just put out great albums with no fucks given

Im signed up for his email list, just got this in my email a second ago...

Friends and Family,

What's good? This is Cole. I just bought my old crib back. This is the house I started rapping in at 13 years old. 2014 Forest Hills Drive. As a kid, moving into this place changed my life in so many ways. Too many to type. Unfortunately, the house was foreclosed from my mother when I was 18 and I always dreamed of buying it back one day for closure. It's the first house I have ever owned.

My new album is called 2014 Forest Hills Drive. I'm not dropping any singles. I want you to hear the album straight through, front to back. The only way to hear the album before it's release is to enter for your chance to be invited to my house, 2014 Forest Hills Drive Fayetteville, North Carolina 28303. There are very limited spots. Good luck.

And please take your shoes off before you walk in my crib!!!

- Cole

Enter your info here for a chance to win a spot at 2014 Forest Hills Drive. Please note, winners must provide their own transportation to and from Fayetteville, North Carolina.

I might be the minority but I really wasn't feeling Born Sinner. Might check this out when I get finished with KRIT's album.

Since he bought his old crib, hopefully he'll be inspire to drop some FNL type shit

I got faith J.Cole will deliver a classic with this album, just don't put me to sleep my nigga

Until this nigga is willing to let real producers take the wheel for the majority of an album, I simply have no interest. He's an amazing MC but he makes like a dozen lukewarm boring beats for every banger. He isn't HALF as good at production as Big K.R.I.T is. K.R.I.T laps circles around him in synthesizer programming, sampling, sound design....you name it. He's better than Eminem at least (lol). Still tho....wtf is Cole trying to prove?

If he did a LP with someone like Madlib or Alchemist or No I.D behind the boards that shit would be instant GOAT album-of-the-decade-contender masterpiece status but instead.........

He would also brick with Madlib and Alchemist. lol

He is using outside producers. Timbaland, Mustard, Hit Boy, No ID, etc are doing production on it.
