It's interesting' well thought out article. I liked it, only thing is, not every artist has to be fucking weird and crazy.

He's a normal dude, level headed and humble I agree, he doesn't talk his mouth off and say weird things on interviews.

I read some article that compared him to Tim Duncan.

I'm not saying I agree but for the most part they were saying that neither are flamboyant but both are really good at what they do.

You consider Work out Plan and Slow Jams cocky? That's why I said 'relatively'. Everyone in hip hop gets cocky on tracks from time to time; even Cole. Doesn't make them or their songs cocky. Work out plan and Slow Jams were more funny than anything.

And "Brand New" which was a Rhymefest track came out after Late Registration; different era. That's when Ye really started ramping up his high fashion schtick. That was closer to Graduation Kanye at that point.

All dude was trying to say is that J.Cole is too much of a traditionalist. In a game where alot of the new critically acclaimed mcs have completely different deliveries (Kendrick, Chance the Rapper, Krit, Tyler the Creator) and different nuisances in their flow, J.Cole has the traditional east coast flow.

All that other bullshit about his content and how he isare boring is bullshit excuse to hate. I think J.Cole is really good with his topics and is exceptional when he is on it .Friday Night Lights still amazing piece of work and nothing about that body of work was boring. Its all because he is a traditionalist, and his first 2 albums hasn't lived up to expectations.
