Smh @ Cole thinking we hate the song cuz it's radio friendly. People don't like the song cuz it's corny

THANK YOU! I'm not even gonna front as big of a cole fan as I am I TRIED TO LIKE THAT SHIT. It sounds so forced and the way he used the sample(which he thought was so original) was wack as fuck. I don't even see what the point is of using a sample when it's used in that way. I was thinkin it was gonna be like "we dont care" or some shit where he actually had an entire hook sampled. I really don't understand the single from him, despite what people say dude has that type of kanye appeal where even females and people who don't like "conscious" shit are feeling him. He didn't have to go the "typical single" rout to blow.

That's his problem. He believes that criticism is hate. He's uncoachable.

Nah, did you watch the video? He didn't say it was hate at all. He just said he understands the criticism and thinks its because people aren't used to radio friendly material from him. He's had plently of radio friendly material released. Honestly, I don't even think "Work Out" would have been good enough to be on FNL.

hit it in the morning should've been the single if he wanted to appeal to the females. The fact that drake was on the track would've been enough to draw the females in.....

I heard it on the radio once or twice. Just didn't catch on. I think the problem with a lot of Cole songs is that the production always sounds incomplete. "Work Out" had the template to be a hit but was just underproduced.

DUmbest shit posted, have the dude that's suppose to be your career rival on your first single and worst yet, cast yourself as a simp rapper like Drake. That would be a stupid ass move career wise, dude lane is the anti-Drake imo.

Yea, he said "It's cool but you got to understand, its a single. That song is for the radio. That song is for the club". Like he seriously believes its a good song for the radio when truth is, it's not a good song at all. That's been his whole career up to this point. He doesn't respond to criticism well.

Name one rapper (Great) who has had their first official single with another rapper? I will wait!

Lets be real, Drake and Cole will be compared for the rest of their career (fair or not), why would put a song that's his first single with dude and don't think for one second they haven't been throwing shots at each other either.
