J.Cole says Jay called his album a classic.. but Jay still might not be on it...

Cole is borderline obsessed with Jay. I'm anticipating this album more than any other album coming out this year but I think this nigga thinks we will really believe the shit he says once he gets a co-sign from jay. As if since jay said it now it's a fact. This nigga needs to focus on his own damn career and stop talking about jay in every fucking interview..... smfh!

Let's be real: the feature that J Cole keeps talking about is JayZ.

I dont want to hear what a 3rd party told J. Cole about how Jigga reacted to the album I want JayZ to do a song with him.

But in every interview people ask him about Jay-Z. Cole is one of my favorite rappers, but lets be real: Without that Jay-Z co-sign he doesn't have HALF his fanbase. The exposure his Roc Nation signing provided is the reason he is where he is.

Dude need to learn from this experience and next time he got an album out and not say shit about a jay feature.... Unless he actually got it. Cause theres no win out of this situation here

"But how ill is it that the album is called The Sideline Story, which is a metaphor for me trying to get off the bench, and I’m waiting for the nod from the coach?”

That shit ain't ill, nigga, it's sad...

exactly. Like at what point do you let the interviewers know, "aye, much respect to jay and everything he's done for me but I'm my own artist". Jay didn't make cole he just got him the exposure that he NEEDED/DESERVED because he's a great artist. His success doesn't revolve around jay agreeing with everything he does and he doesn't need to let us know about it. I get what you saying mak but rocnation is not like ymcmb. We didn't get introduced to cole on a lil wayne/drake feature or hit song. Yea "A Star is Born" did kind of put him on to the masses but lets not act like rocnation is on some g-unit(when they first started)/ymcmb(currently) status. Even look @ mmg, despite meek and le going hard ROSS IS HELPING PUT THEM ON, he's in videos, on tracks, etc. Cole hasn't had any of that.....

I mean, I thought about this all bein for promo...But nobody cares about this feature situation outside of his internet fans/haters....Which lightweight seems to be the state of his album buzz as well.

And the thing is, I'm sure his album gon be cool overall...Neither one of his singles are amazing, but I'm sure it'll be a strong album...I want him to drop and be successful, but it just doesn't look like it's gon happen...Prove us wrong, cuh.

if u re a j cole fan do u really care that much if jay is on there ?

u should rather give jigga props for letting j cole do his album his way, seems like he had a lot of freedom creating his 1st project

- a j cole song was used in a gatorade commercial

-he went on tour with rihanna, cee lo,drake ...

-he already has a world wide tour planned

roc nation is doing a great job if u ask me ...just cuz its jay´s label doesnt mean he has to be part of the album (even though i m pretty sure he will be)

Bolded is all true, and commendable...On the touring/sponsorship side, Roc Nation gets it done for all they artists, as they should cause they wit Live Nation...And I could care less if Jay on the album, although it seems like he's jerkin him, and that's lame. But it more than anything it just looks like there's no excitement built up around the album or the singles or Cole at all outside of forums like this...At this point, nobody really knows who to blame anymore, so we just gon have to see what happens in September.

if j cole is suppose to be lucrative to jayz than he shud be doing everything in his power to make the ride a lil easier for him

biggy was there for jay

shock was there for pac

dre was there for em

em was there for 50

50 was there for game
