Some of you fail to realize that this was going to happen anyway, in the name of profit, not just because they raised min wage. The thought of going to a fast food place and touching a nasty touchscreen, that mad other questionable people before me touched disgusts me.

CNBC had this show on restaurateur in NYC and one of them owed a chain of meatball shop restaurants. They'd have workers hand roll their meatballs at a warehouse someone and ship it to their stores. During the show it showed them going to some company and buying a machine that could press out a shit ton of meatballs a min, that could lower their costs when they paid the machine off ( it cost like 6 figures).

My point is these guys owned a few stores, that each made millions of dollars a year in sales and still were squeezing out as much profit as they can. So no matter what ur job title is, if the company can have a robot do your job for cheaper they're going to replace ur ass.

Also im still laughing at the nigga casually saying learn computer programming.

Nobody is saying it's an easy task, but that's why programmers can earn up to 40$ and a mcjob is minumum wage. At some point in a person life they have to understand a skill or trade can maximum their potential. Shit my homie who is a plumber charges 23 an hour and best believe he takes his sweet as time when working.

SMH... Y'all gettin mad at roboburgers but go to walmart or your local Safeway or Kroger affiliate and go through UScan lanes without even thinking about it.

"I only got 5-6 things, I'll hit up the u-scan"

Not even realizing that those machines took the place of a few humans at each store.

Back around 2002, Meijer was in yet another dispute with their workers union (unlike Walmart, Meijer allowed their workers to unionize). Not long after their dispute was over the store over on Carpenter and Ellsworth on the border of Ypsilanti and Ann Arbor installed two U-Scan machines basically saying "we'll increase your pay, but fuck y'all we're replacing some of you with machines".

Within a few years they were popping up in Walmart and chain grocery stores, replacing human cashiers at every location.

But, please, keep gettin' mad when fast food chains replace humans with kiosks. Clearly this is some new shit despite the fact that Jack In The Box has had kiosks since about 2007-2008 tho.

Lol a lot of old niggas in this thread hatin cause they made $5.25 in high school

$4.25 in 1990 has roughly the same buying power as $7.81 today so realistically the cats at $7.25 ain't too far off the mark. That being said, I've repeatedly stated that minimum should be $10-$11/hr.
