Biggie never was a poor black kid like he described in the song Juicy. Everybody knows his mom spoiled him.
Ice Cube went to a all white gifted high school, and been robbed for his chain in many occasions but most of us didnt know this until the internet or beef dvd.
Dr dre we already know bout his glitter ass.
Onyx were techno house dancers who were far from gangster.
So kids don't act like they weren't any officer rickys, or anything like that back then. rappers been faking it until they made it since day 1
Ok my bad, for the first reply i made..but this defense for Ricky Ross or comparing him to anyone on the level of Pac kinda made me upset. Basically there has always been "studio gangstas" as the term was coined in the 90s, everyone had their suspicions on who was or wasnt a real gangsta. Especially when there was beef, people would try to expose the other. For example, MC Eiht and DJ Quik both from sets.... (Eiht-Tragniew Park Crip/Quik- Treetop Piru , I think) but both claimed that the other wasnt really bangin and got no respect in their own neighborhood... Many a rapper tried to discredit Cube back in the day... and people picked sides on if he was gangsta or not. Just cause Cube went to Taft and came from a working class family doesnt discredit him, cause i know many a nigga from workin class families who bang in the LA unified school district...even who went to Taft! Kam is Cube's cousin and is well known for bangin Watts crip and before they had beef (hes the one whos crew stole Cubes chain) Cube rolled deep with that whole set so I doubt that Cube doesnt know what hes talking about when it comes to being from South Central. But really its not about what he did or what he didnt do..Its about how he reacts when hes confronted on it... He handles it like a G...he is one of the most forthcoming niggas Ive ever seen in interviews. Ricky is not! Dr Dre...as you said we already knew what he was on but when confronted on it...did he lie like Ricky? Onyx...maybe techno dancers...but Sticky was definitely involved with the Deceptaconz (street crew in Queenz!) and locked up back then for shit he did (local accounts from cousin in queenz and if you were a hip hop fan you read about this in mags back then and you read about their history dancing)...but that doesnt matter....they came out on some Rap-Rock shit just to get the party hype...It may have been easier to hide the human side to your rap character back then....but all the people you named never really played the game like Ricky Ross....which is keep lying to people who support your shit just to keep your "rap character" alive.
