Does sexism bother you @Chicity ?

How do you feel about equal pay for equal work ?

And it's directed to the ladies because I wanna know their opinion

If the male posters can behave ... Their opinion is welcome too

As a father of four (4) daughters potential sexism bothers me a lot, especially in the work place and how ppl are expected to deal with their emotions.

I feel that equal pay for equal works makes all the sense in the world. There's no reason for you (a female) to make less because you have a pair of tits. IN FACT, because you have tits you should be paid a hit more if they are D's and bigger

NOW, if the question in the OP is directed towards both sexes fairly, then I request for you to change the OP to reflect that appropriately before I decide to answer to the question at hand

The dwindling middle class.

Big business in the pockets of politicians.

The lack of concern for the average American.

The scam that is the collegiate system.

The fact that the price of EVERYTHING continues to rise, yet wages haven't changed in years.

The fact that all of this holds people back yet we blame it on laziness and lack of ambition. We continue to tell people to work hard for their dreams, when Americans are working harder and more than they ever have..

This is the shit that bothers me. It pisses me off actually.

Almost makes you want to go off the grid.

As far as giving back, I do what I can but to be honest, it isn't as much as it should be.

Nice topic, look forward to seeing all responses.

I am deeply affected by emotion and those suffering-particularly those with mental disorders and substance abuse issues. Majoring in psychology which is my passion so through my courses, future internships, and once I am working in the field I will continue to give back as much as possible. Currently networking with a relative who is getting a foundation off the ground that focuses on helping at risk youth, his emphasis is working with young at risk males.

as a male, i am concerned about the lack of respect for the female

I know a lot of times us men get a bad rep here and some of its warranted, but i hope you ladies can see through the bs for the real responses to serious topics. A lot of times, its just jokes...at least i'll speak for myself

but at the end of the day, now that im a father to a young girl, i am scared to death of what social media has done to our younger women.

Every time we like a pic on instagram or post a twerk video (I stand guilty as charged), we perpetuate the ignorance and mistreatment of our females. These females, regardless of the life decisions they've either made, or have had made for them, is someone's daughter.

The disdain for the female is unsettling.

...and startling. Unsettling and startling.

What issues matter to you the most ?

1. The murder and genocide of our African Kings.

2. The political agenda to rid society of middle and lower class.

3. The BS @$$ justice system and the injustice it provides regarding pedophilia and sex offenders.

4. The Governments lack of desire to cure diseases due to the dollar amount they bring in.

5. The Governments ability to "create" diseases to carry out their agenda. (see #1 & 2)

6. The child support system that is used as a tool for ratchet females to make the lives of their children's father even more difficult than it already is.

What is your passion?

*To Focus on the prosperity, health and happiness of my family and my people.

*To master this game called Life. Learn as I live and get better at it daily.

*Teach what I have learned so that others benefit.

*Raise my prince and princesses to "KNOW" themselves, their history and embrace their culture wholeheartedly with no F***s given.

Do you give back to your community ?

*Yes, i am involved in numerous groups, projects and "give back" programs.

Mostly focused on African-American and Homeless community. As well as a program to assist Single Mothers and to circumvent the BS child support system.

Is this scam not your best bargaining tool when attempting to level playing fields of pay scale between men and women?

Stop making this about you Chi.

Nice posts, ladies.

It's not about me, KAT

It's about males in general and this bias that this thread has

Either we ALL have a voice or not. That's equality

Thanks for the tag AP :)

I'm very passionate about the youth in the minority communities and their mental state. In my city, two black males under the age of 21 committed murder/suicide with their girlfriends( who were also under the age of 21) in front of their kids. Why you ask? because the girlfriends wanted to break up. When their pictures flooded all social media accounts, you didn't see the innocent carefree spirit that we possessed at their ages. Our kids are growing up too fast and we are to blame. Babysitting have now turn into full out motherly duties for some high school freshman and her 5 younger siblings. Our kids aren't kids anymore, they can do whatever whenever and they aren't mentally ready for that responsibility.

I remember when my mom gave me timelines for certain "grown" activities, for example, I couldn't get fake nails until 9th grade after cheer season was over, dating wasn't allowed until 11th grade, curfew extended an extra hour every year in high school....etc. Boundaries were established and when I decided to break them my mom did bat crazy ish. I've come home to my door being taken off the hinges, my flip phone broken in half with a note saying "I said no calls after 10pm" Lol Man, my moms was wild but I thank her for it.

So, after taking about a year and a half off to join the work force after undergrad, I'm back into school getting my MS in Family/Marriage Therapy, because I want to rebuild the family system and take back the innocence of our children that I believe as a community we've allowed the world to steal. Sorry for being long winded too lol
