Goddamn this movie already is surpassing all expectations I had for it. Especially the dude and look they went for with pennywise. Thought it looked kind of corny when they released the image, but seeing the guy act him out in the trailer has given me a lot of faith in this movie.

pennywise looks scary as hell but the voice still needs to win me over

creepy sure

but i also remember curry pennywise because he had personality not because of how scary he sounded because he didnt (to me) he was no freddy kreuger with the quips but the guy loved torturing these kids verbally and physically

if they can convey some type of real personality for this version

we might have a horror villain for the ages

this was the international tv spot

several quick glimpses of new footage and a very creepy voice

i think itd be cool if they get a big name cast for the adults

heres the kids pick their 'adult' selves

i think im most interested in seeing the losers club aspect on film

i could watch an entire flick of just the kids being kids

forming their friendships and dealing with the bullies (including abusive adults)

these trailers have been very effective in conveying the right tone and piling on some of that nostalgia

horror movies are the only movies i really like seeing in theaters

audience reactions are hilarious

I wonder if they are gonna include all the extra shit with Henry Bowers from the book. The original TV series didnt feature everything that happened with him and the kids.

it will also be interesting to see how the second part of the movie would work because the adult portion is pretty thin and basically serves to create a lot of the flashbacks

theres almost 3 full stories going on at once

1. the kids vs. IT

2. the losers club

3. the adult portion

then there are the historical flashbacks

pennywise in action in the

1880s

1900s

1920s

etc

point being there is a lot of material for two flicks if done right

king can be wordy but theres not a lot of filler

its all interesting

Ayo those are dope ass choices I hope the studio looks at this closer.

I still think they made IT look too scary and unapproachable so it already kinda kills it a little bit for me. But maybe it's just the nigga in me that ain't approaching no damn clown regardless.

I'm still seeing this tho cuz it looks good

One afternoon towards the end of summer Henry and his gang initiate a rock fight with the Losers in the Barrens. The bullies are left defeated and embarrassed - an injured Henry swears revenge on the Losers before departing. After further encounters with It in the form of Pennywise and various other manifestations, the Losers construct a makeshift American-Indian smokehole which Richie and Mike use to hallucinate It's origins. In doing so they discover that It came to Derry millions of years before in an asteroid-like impact, and that every 27 years It awakens from a slumber underneath the town's sewers, usually after some kind of terrible event or tragedy, to feed on children for a period of 12–16 months.

I cant remember the movie, but i swear they said 27 years too. Ill have to rewatch it before the new movie

a new shot or two here

with this movie being rated r i cant help but wonder just how bad is georgie about to get murdered

will they cut away on a scream

will they have some element of gore

i suspect its going to be bad

gotta set the tone

im not sure if this is a spoiler but i'll put it just in case

its about something that happens in the book that could possibly be made into a scene

there a scene in the book where pennywise shoves a toddlers head into a toilet and laughs maniacally while drowning them — that scene could really bring home how truly awful IT is but i would bet every last packet of top ramen seasoning i got saved up they wont go there because complaining about everything is this generations form of revolution

this is a rumor i heard about the movie

georgie is missing rather than dead

now its still possible they show him get ripped up AND pulled into the sewer drains

where we the audience will know hes dead

but the townspeople wont have a body to confirm so hes classified as missing

i dont know though

VR is too much for a movie lol. Might be cool, but i would find it too distracting.

I hear now they got "4D" theaters that add tilting seats and fans for wind and even add scents to the seat in front of you to make you feel like your in the movie lol. Just show the damn movie imo.

His look in the book is scary he's a demonic entity they are actually following it closer than the OG series did.

His look changes in the book. When Georgie first meets him he looks very friendly and non threatening but once Georgie reaches for the boat that's when pennywise changes
