Rawse isn't the type of artist that can do tracks like "Find Your Love" or "Airplanes" and still keep a career.

He has to continue to do street anthems b/c the pop fanbase probably won't accept him if he crosses over and he'll lose his current fanbase.

He's done songs like "Here I Am" "Magnificent" and "Rich Off Cocaine" but that's about as far as he can go........ Street-Love songs.

No way he can do crossover songs like "Show Goes On"

Exactly. And the funny thing is, despite being a street rapper...he's far more marketable than Jeezy/Gucci/Waka and the rest of 'nem. Despite his origins, Ross isn't a dope boy rapper; he's southern mafioso. In the same vein as the Clipse are/were.

He talks that super extravagant lifestyle shit (which IMO is why he's never gotten as much love from the Blk. community as Jeezy and crew) and you can tell he's been trying to make moves with the big names (Hov, YMCMB, Kanye). Not that Jeezy didn't do it before him, but all of Ross's collabos have been better IMO and felt more natural (well Devil in a New Dress was a bit jarring).

I love when a nigger puts "white people" and "nigga" in the same sentence, I prefer to say Black folks and cracka's but thats just me.

Catering to white folks is a concept that most whites and clueless Blacks cant understand.

I dont think anybody is foolish enough to compare Rozay to Dead Prez or Ice Cube, the T/S/ is simply praising him for making Soulful Black music without the white-washing and pandering to the Pop demographic.

Are you doing duets with Pussycat dolls or with Chrisette Michelle??

Do you have Raphael Saadiq on your hooks or Justin Timberlake??

Are you doing multiple joints with Erykah Baduh or multiple joints with Emenim

Raekwon or Bruno Mars

Styles P. & Jadakiss or Linkin Park

Cee Lo Green or Kid Cudi

Trey Songz or Mr. Hudson

Jon Legend or Luke Steele

Are you signing Meek Milz or Pauly D.

Is it "Black mans Dream" or "Ghetto Techno"??

Foxy Brown & Elise Neal or Paris Hilton and Chelsea Handler??

Unity or division?? Men or Munkeez??

Lets not paint Rick Ross as a socio-political rapper trying to edutain Black folks, lets just accept the fact that he dosent cater and pander to the white buying public or the pop demographic like 95% of the Gold & Platinum artists out today.

Yeah i hear you.

I respect Mumo X over most pro black posters on the IC Mumo X is from Kenya but he isn't hypocritical or racist

He not gonna talk the talk of black power but then wear Gucci and be hypocritical

Mumo doesnt support Rappers that wiggaz adore like Rick Ross, Jeezy, Gucci Mane etc he supports Bob Marley, Nas, Wu Tang

Mumo>>>>>>>>>>clowns like H Rap and StillDreaming

So there isn't a huge population of blacks in America that are Doctors, Lawyers, Accountants, business owners etc living in affluent suburbs?

Come on now Gee

And to piggy back off h rap a POP feat and a Rnb feat are not the same. Skylar Grey, Lady Gaga are pop. John Legend and Chrisette Michele are rnb/Neo soul artists.....
