You can easily do the same thing with candy bars or any other consumable good. I had a group of young boys and I gave them legal products to sell. It taught them salesmanship, accounting, reinvestment skills. Most importantly it taught them intangible things like learning how to speak, overcoming rejection and developing self confidence.
