I dunno why yall so mad , Marvin Gaye out here about to make album of the year outchea, anywho...

As the heir to the thrown, it's only right for him to take his last name. So from now on let's all call him Drake Gaye...yes that sounds about right.

Drake Gaye album of the year coming soon.

Just read on msn that 2 Chains is releasing a cook book with his new album...wtf

Is just making good music not enough these days?

That "cook book" can getchu a Benz stop hating mane

Yeah its really wack. Em still selling bullshit for a living. Kendrick being extremely overhyped. Drake about to sell again but it is about to miss the mark with everyone outside his core fans again. Macklemore is a niche rapper with the right niche which happens to be white people. Jay Z living off his name.

It is sad, all you have to do is look at the people that can go platinum right now and you clearly see how void the game is of having someone the people can really get behind

All-time low? Nah.

Low points? Hell yeah. Mainstream don't care about hip-hop like that and sees that shit as something to jack and profit off of. That "Harlem Shake" bullshit was a prime example, and what tripped me out was all the people getting mad at Harlem for coming out against getting swagger jacked.

Speaking from a NY State Of Mind

I'm looking for an upcoming Emcee that's not doing everything like everybody else. They have to have their own sound and not dickriding the south.

I need something fresh, something new, something that reminds me of NYC.

I want to see something that hasn't been done before. I want to see this Emcee bring it lyrically and make some head nodding hits. They have to be original and gimmick free.

I'm giving the young bucks a chance: Troy Ave, Joey Badass, Dillon Cooper and other EmCees from NYC.

but

I don't think I've seen THE ONE yet and i believe he/she is coming soon. Hip Hop is a cycle and NYC is in a rebuilding phase right now and the SUN WILL RISE IN THE EAST soon to put us back on the map

Believe that

punk modafluckers

Regionalism is dead and even the 808s sound is fading off. I just want a great lyrical MC that can drop a classic album.

nope, that was around 2006-2009.

The same era where the one hit wonders, Gucci Mane, Waka Flocka, and Soulja Boy came in. Wackness all around. After early 2010 when Cole dropped The Warm Up, things gradually began to come around.

808's never gon fall off bruh, how anyone could complain about bump is beyond me, especially when someone spittin hard on a beat like that

The only thing that progressed in Hip Hop that still has creative integrity is the battle aspect. Everything else has regressed.
