I'm old enough to have watched LT play and know that he retired in 1993 2 years after Favre STARTED games. I'm also not so on this nigga's nuts to realize that he is severely overrated due to all the good ole boy "Gunslinger" "Old Gambler" insert another bullshit adjective that SPORTSCASTERS ON ESPN like John Madden been heaping on this dude for being a mediocre ass good ole boy.

FACT
when your giving up 100/105/110 a game the defense ISN'T GOOD.
FACT
The 00's Suns gave up less points then the bad boy pistons lakers and celtics of the 80's
And people thinks their D sucks
The score of an NBA FINALS GAME WAS 148-118. Come on son. They ain't play no defense.
But again that's for another thread lolz
rage;3736196 said:What is this high level of sustained play you speak of? He didnt win any superbowls or MVPs after 97, his QB rating was mediocre as fuck for the rest of his career aside from 07 where he had Adrian Peterson...and Rodgers is gonna blow that shit out of the water this year.
notme;3736263 said:So you basically have no rebuttal?
major pain;3736317 said:bruh.. favre has some significant all time records...you dont do that being a mediocre QB
rage;3736335 said:Rebuttal to what?? You have to have facts, stats, a basic framework of points...nothing. All you post are excuses about pass happy offenses and savage defences. Its like debating about a horse's speed when talking to a nigga whose bringing up Unicorns.
major pain;3736149 said:I think people are arguing different points here.
Who is the better QB means different things to different people.
On one hand you have those (like me) who thinks Rodgers has to prove himself of sustaining a career with a high level of play like Favre has in order to be considered 'better'. I dont think there is any denying that Favre has a HOF career and with Rodgers just starting a few years ago he doesnt yet.
On the other hand you have people who are evaluating Rodgers' skills vs. Favre's skills. In this case, it would seem for the moment Rodgers has a better skill set and is the 'better' QB. I think this much is apparent also.
Yall can stop going at each other over this... its going to come down to who you ask and how they interpret the question.
notme;3736423 said:This means no. That entire comment was empty rhetoric.Savage Defenses(currently banned in today's nfl) will nullify a passing game. And nothing I mentioned is imaginary.
rage;3736528 said:Show facts....otherwise its just imaginary.
Rodgers has been sacked more times than Favre, LT and Jerome Brown never played against Favre....again NO FACTS.

Rey Negro;3736430 said:I personally don't do this strategy...for a number of reasons. To me, "better" means you can do it consistently for a few years. Otherwise everytime some kid had a good year, there'd be a dufus comparing him to legends.
Like seriously....imagine back in 2004 you spent 2 days on some forum putting T-Mac over some bonafide NBA legends because at the time T-Mac was destroying sh*t left and right. How fucking stupid would you feel now? Thats exactly what I dont do the bolded. Let his career play out a little bit first.
major pain;3736634 said:Um.. thats exactly what I said. Rodgers needs to do it longer in order for people to claim he is better than Favre. I look at entire careers and not 1 or 2 seasons. Just like you said, players can regress etc.
rage;3736346 said:Like what?? I'll be sure to post up some of his "All time" records as well...gahead.
major pain;3736613 said:Bruh.. Favre is number 1 on the all time sacks list.
major pain;3736703 said:You telling me the all time leader in TDs, Passing yards, Attempts and completions and a 1st ballot HOF isnt ahead of a guy who is 2.5 years into being a starting QB? I'm NOT knocking Rodgers he is tearing it up at the moment, but be for real? Look at their CAREERS.. Rodgers has some more work to do is all I'm saying.
shenco;3733395 said:Cats hate Favre for the same reason they hate Tebow...the media. Stop letting ESPN influence y'all
rage;3737007 said:So?? Who gives a fuck? This is a comparison between Rodgers and Favre....in Favre's peak 95-97 he was sacked fewer times than Rodgers between 2009 and 2011
rage;3737036 said:Dont forget leader in interceptions thrown and number one in fumbles as well. Like I've said before all those total number of TDs and Yards and Attempts are just because he played for a long period of time. For every TD he threw he threw an INT, for every pass he completed he also committed a fumble. None of these records have any bearing in his skills, but in his longevity.
