As I stated earlier...it takes 250K to raise 1 child, and that's being on the frugal side of things...so in reality, 200K really isn't enough to sustain a family of 4 over a lifetime. Now, I can see if investments were made, property was bought, and that money was flipped to benefit over a long duration...but to just come into 200k, and be like "Thank Gawd!! I can quit working!!" Nah, that's not gonna fly. I think what happened here is, your words were misunderstood.
On another note....one guy friend spent 15k on one piece of furniture...that dude had me singing the blues, and re-evaluating my choices in life.
