You may be dealing with opinion, but I'm stating facts. If you re-read my post, none of that shit was my personal view..............Lastly, don't go the one album route. If it was that easy, the nigga you dedicating this thread to would have one.....singular............album that mentioned amongst the greats... Maybe one day.........

You overrating "Get Rich or Die Trying" a bit too much. Besides commercial impact & the extremely popular backstory of his life, that album pails in comparison to "Illmatic", "Reasonable Doubt", "All Eyes on Me" or "Only Built for Cuban Linx", especially when I go back in modern day to listen to it without the media hype. That shit is barely a borderline classic. And even then...I'd rather an artist have 4 great to good albums then 1 amazing album & 3 underwhelming ones.

As objectively as i can put it....50 made a huge splash in the game but, his career is a bit disappointing. I'd thought he'd be the next Jay-Z or atleast DMX (A long, successful music career or at most, 3 good albums) but, he blew his load on his debut. No homo.

I dont care, ill say it Ross's catalog is enough TODAY. Fuck anybody else's criteria, he has timeless music and when people look back on 2010, Ross owned the year.

And who here thinks the next album is gonna flop? Please shit will do his usual numbers if not more. Face it 2011 might become his too also.

How was 2010 his year when drake, kanye, eminem and nikki outsold the nigga. I guess if maxin out at 400,000 aint a flop

thank you.. Tip has influenced both Jeezy & Ross' careers

Trap music is completely different than Mafioso music...

24s, U Dont Know Me & Rubberband Man is soooooooooo different than Maybach Music, Mafia Music II & Rich off Cocaine. Completely different.

One is gutter & brash. The other is gutter & smooth. Its like comparing East Coast Gangsta Music to East Coast Mafioso Music. You wouldn't compare "Onyx" to "Reasonable Doubt Jay-Z" would you?

them niggas aint get them shit from no bay area niggas or too short.. just cause niggas sound the same don't mean they was payin attention to niggas on an entirely different coast.. sorry.. southern niggas wasn't influenced by no west coast niggas...

southern niggas more than any other coast are influenced by their environment.. not another rapper

bruh.. both Tip & Ross have the same type of records... but as a whole.. Ross is another Trap Muzik rapper.. just w/ a different swag/charisma/sound.. so you THINK it's something different but it's not bruh..

okay, you take Nikki Minaj and Ill take Ross. Is it debatable, yes. IMO Ross had the best year all around, sales, music, and he saw his populairity go up. No one put out better music consistently in 2010, nobody. Two mixtapes, one album and guest appearances and remixes.

Get your dumbass out of here bruh...

PLEASE DO NOT START A HIP HOP DEBATE WITH ME...YOU WILL LOSE.

Too Short was the worst rapper to ever pick up a mic. If he's legend status...then people sound stupid scoffing at Ross.

ATCQ sold millions of records but, the casual fan DOESN'T KNOW THEM. That's why I called them & Too Short "lowkey legends". Hip Hop heads can show love & respect for UGK or Kool G Rap or Too Short or Big L but.........17 year old Mike from Omaha, Nebraska would have no fucking idea what "Pocket Full of Stones" was. 20 year old Lucy from Orange County, California would have no fucking idea what "Born to Mack" was. Because eventhough the Hip Hop Community considers them legends, the general population doesn't know them. In Contrast.........EVERYBODY knows who Biggie, Pac & Jay-Z are. But you'd be a dumbass to think they're the only legends. That's like saying The Rolling Stones are the only great rock band.

Fat Joe? SMH. You can't be serious. One of the criteria I said.........is actually making dope songs. Dope verses, dope hooks, dope beats. Not just Cory Gunz like spitting for 3 minutes. And yes....I've listened to DITC.

Calm yo self.

Too short is NOT the worse rapper to ever pick up a mic..stop it. He's not by any means the best technical "rapper" but he spits game and makes good music and has done so consistently for 26 years! He's a pioneer that all your favorite rappers grew up listening to. His success, impact, music and longevity make him and undeniable certified legend.

Ross makes good music but he just hasn't done anything extraordinary or game changing to be considered a legend. Even if he continues what he's been doing for three more albums I just don't see how he will be a legend. A good artist with a solid career yes but legendary no. Legends are remembered for doing and achieving GREAT things. They leave a mark that will forever be remembered. They have a sound that literally changed music and can sometimes define an era. I cant sit here and say that ross has done any of these things.

How was 2010 his year? He didn't have the highest selling album, he didn't have the album with the most hit songs, he didn't have the highest reviewed album, he didn't have the biggest hip hop show,,he didn't make the most money.

What, because he got the Source "Man of the Year"? Nigga please. As far as 2011, don't make me laugh. Carter IV and Watch The Throne will push his album to the backburner just like MBDTF did. When that shit dropped every media outlet available was saying how it was by far the best album of 2010.....
