We need to stop acting like there aren't different aspects of things that people with different skills can tackle. Every movement has different parts that make it work. Some people are good with words so they're the voices...some are good with planning and organizing so they become the tacticians...and some are good at being on the front lines so they're the faces....each part is needed and trying to discount one for the other leads to nowhere.

How do any of you know what these people do offline? Modern Tech allows mobility. You don't need to be strapped to a desk and a computer to get your message out. You can actually multitask.

Many activists and people doing work in their communities are using these mediums responsibly which, means they are doing the ground and getting the word out using mediums that reach the greater audience.

I often think to myself that folks who make these types of threads are the folks not doing anything at all.
