Co-Sign brother Supreme. I dont fuck with Hiphop like I used to 10 years back. Matter of fact I left it 5 years back. The only artist i check for today is Nas and maybe common & Talib. The rest are either garbage or past it. Every rapper in the game be soundin the same,90% of these dudes lack creativity, they content is limited. Thats why these new cats dont make it past they 2nd album. The game is now money driven at the expense of the art form. Political rap has become non existant. Only in Hiphop is kickin knowledge looked down up...Im more into Reggae these days, and any other spiritually nourishin music.... I dont hav a Top 5 DOA Emcees no more, its more like Top 5 Musicians. My music mostly revolves around Bob Marley,Nas,Pac,Tosh,Gaye,Miles Davis,Lauryn Hill etc...

It seems as though younger people like to mock the culture now. When someone as wack as him comes out they find it amusing b/c they know it's wack/stupid, yet some people seem to get a kick out of aggravating true hip hop heads with their deliberate sabotage of the advancement of the culture.

Hip Hop is a culture, not just a genre of music(rap). If you tired of rap, then stop listenin to it. There's plenty of other genres of music, and listenin to them doesn't make you any less "Hip Hop". But in rap, there have been good and bad rappers since the beginning, and there always will be. There will be some that you don't like that other people do. And if somebody else being able to relate to and appreciate a rapper you don't like gets to you so much that you feel the need to leave your culture...

Peace out nigga, you're not needed.

I gotta admit it's hard for me to still say i love hip hop music when basing it on today's standard. I'm hip hop because i grew up in this. I thought my age had more to do with me falling out of love with it. But seeing younger guys feeling the same way makes me realize it really has just become completely wack. i listen to the old shit and just smh at what's considered new and improved today. hate to be another one shitting on the younger generation like other old heads but the reality is yall some wack muthafuckaz point blank. We went wrong somewhere because we obviously did a terrible job at passing the torch. I'm too old to get mad at fools that disagree with me so I don't really give a shit what kind of negative rebuttals I get to this. yall just straight up wack as hell with this new shit. *waits on a young fool to say some stupid shit in response...like I really give a fuck what you got to say*. But fuck my opinion. if you down with this wack shit, more power to you. You can keep this new bullshit for all I care, since I don't claim this garbage ass new shit anyway.

I just listen to old shit I have. I'm bumping BCC, Kool G., Kane, Rakim, EPMD & all that other classic shit that made me love hip-hop. Most of the new stuff isn't for me, but I'm not gonna knock it because apparently someone likes it.

Thats funny you say that cause my cousin gave up hiphop for Reggae/Danchall 2 yrs ago. lol

honestly, dancehall is heading down the same downward path as hip hop is right now. alot of the chunes i hear leave alot to be desired. and imo, the riddims of today cannot compare to the ones that came out in 98-01. i was just listening to some today and now realized how much dave kelly and steelie and cleevie put so much innovation into the music at that time.

I'm not from ny or even from the east but everything originated from there from hip-hop to so called swag

as a matter of fact, ny niggas was the 1st niggas rockin gold teeth

maybe they were the first ones to start rockin them in hip hop. but niggas in miami have been aesthetically wearing gold teeth since the 1960's. even the wikipedia page about gold teeth acknowledges this:

"Grills, false tooth covers made of metal, have become a popular hip hop fashion in the United States. While some rap musicians have had their gold teeth permanently attached to existing teeth, most people who purchase them for aesthetic purposes opt for removable gold teeth caps.[1] In 2005, Nelly released the rap single Grillz which promotes the dental apparatus.

Gold teeth as a fashion statement began in Miami, Florida, sometime in the 1960s, but it wasn't until the 1980s that gold teeth became popular in the hip-hop world."

The first statement is false. Niggas who only wanna complain are never needed...anywhere. Maybe that's not you, but that's what you sound like.

The second statement is bullshit. For every dope, long lasting artist you can name in the 30 something year history of rap, I can name 5 that came out the same year, had a hit single or a dance or some kind of fad that young people liked, and they nobodies now. Fuck outta here with that "shit is so wack these days." It's been wack shit forever. True, there's more of a market for shallow music these days, but that's because of where our society is as a whole. If all you listen to is the radio/popular opinion, and your tastes/opinions are different, then of course it's gonna look imbalanced to you. Instead of tellin somebody else they wrong for liking what they like, just like the shit you like and let that be that. And when you share what you like, do it with humility, respect, and an open mind. That goes for the old and new generations. If more people would think like that, instead of "You're wrong, and I'm right", we wouldn't have these problems.

Plus, nigga, you on the internet right now. You can find whatever you want to on this mofucka. You could do your research and find out what new emcees are out there that are actually making quality music with a quality message. Instead, you wanna hate on Waka Flocka. SMH @ that backwards ass shit.
