in a way i see there being a huge separation happening with hip hop fans. i think the rise of the underground is taking place. while many are going to stay listening to whatever mainstream tells them to, others are looking for alternatives and finding new artists. I was fed up back in like 2005, and since, my music taste has grown significantly. i listen to genres i would have never thought of and found hip hop artists who I didn't know existed.
