Well, some people are stupid as fuck. And a lot of influential people tend to stir outrage in situations like these by playing up the racial factor and completely ignoring other elements. What people need to do is develop some emotional intelligence, figure out what can be learned from this situation, and put some energy into hammering that lesson home so that we can adjust our approach to certain things and involvement or lack thereof in certain things accordingly.

In the event of a not guilty verdict one has to understand that the issue is the laws and how they're written. We'll have to see if conviction of a lesser charge of manslaughter isn't appealed successfully as well.

Learn about the laws in better detail, the legal process, why it's important to be consistent in interviews, don't do interviews that aren't required b/c you can weaken your case, understand how important testifying as a witness in someone else's case could be, etc.

This all takes effort and forces one to think intelligently, control emotions if you've attached yours to this case, and determine what understanding can be gained from this case.

Throwing a tantrum and accomplishing nothing but destruction is a dumb nigga tactic.
