I had no choice but to hear old school R&B in the in the late 70's to early 80's before Hip Hop took its full grasp because my parents had crazy records and played them all the time. I remember looking into the old school TV GUIDE, peeping those COLUMBIA HOUSE tapes you could buy for a penny searching for MOTOWN RECORDS, to see who they were selling. I learned to appreciate real music so I can appreciate lyrics and songwriting from my era R&B and New Hip Hop coming from age six - '81 to present time.
