Didnt nobody stop Hammer or them other dance rappers.
Its the same shit different day/year/decade

it was difference between him and hammer. first nobody was dancing hammer in the club back in the 80's, second hammer can spit a rhyme unlike soulja boy knick knack rhymes, third it was all hip hop niggas wasnt looking for abc or 123 rhyme.

correction....us OG's hated on Hammer. we weren't down with that shit him and Vanilla Ice did. If a dude was gonna come with some shit like they did, they needed to be trying to be funny or soft on purpose like Fresh Prince, Rappin Duke or the Dana Dane in order for us to like it. It was comedy rap and we accepted that genre. But Hammer and V.I. came out like they were the new hard shit and they wasn't shit. They got big because white fans pumped them up...not because black fans were feeling it. Make no mistake, we respect Hammer but he aint in none of our GOAT lists. He's probably in a lot of white people lists tho...along with Tone Loc.

it is a difference if u a real hip hop head

Rappers are basically people that make music for the money. They don't do it for love, you know the people who just care about radio airplay, tight beats, material lifestyles etc. M.C is the truth Master of Ceremonies. They can move a crowd,I mean large crowds anywhere. Who make albums and don't care about album sales but just for the love and respect. When you ask who the best rappers are,who names pops up M.C's or Rappers?

i was about to respond to the same post you quoted in a similar way but it makes no sense for me to be redundant on it. Yes there is a big difference between rappers and M.C.s Some popular rappers are actually M.C.s but they choose to make their money as rappers. Word to Jay-Z

loool bro a rapper can do the same thing, and why wouldn't you wanna make money for something you created wtf thats why i don't get this whole oh i do it for the love shit, cuz if they trully loved hip hop they wouldn't be trying to shit on other artist for making club songs and dancing songs they would know thats what some people wanna hear. anybody who writes something in a rhyme scheme is a mc no matter how whack it is

and you guys throw around this oh nursery rhyme shit hint 80's rappers? lol does that not ring a bell they had the most simple rhymes and they weren't getting hated on for it.
