If you don't have Nas at #1 on your all time list, get the fuck off this forum

Most of the people who hate Nas hate him because he has so much cultural pride and they hide their contempt behind psedo Pan-Europeonism And anger over the fact he identifies with his own kind over people like them.

Jay never came anybody??

Like "Dig A Hole" never came out....the nevre!

Anyway, Nas is my #1 artist on my list...but if I had to make a consensus list of the GOAT 5 spots....I'd say if nothing else, Pac would get that spot over Nas.

B.I.G., lyrically is on par with Nas, but the fact that BIG only made two albums can't justify.

Commerical-wise yeah, EVERYONE knows Jay has surpassed him. But C'mon son, it's been proven that bar-for-bar, Sean ain't fucking with Nasir.

Why hasn't his position in rap improved if he won? Shouldn't more people be checking for him, not less?

How did Nas lose a war? the battle was about who would win between Nas and Jay, not who would have the most mainstream success.

And as for the bolded, the same can be said for Jay-Z, so how did Nas lose a 'war' and Jay-Z didn't?

Now that's ether. Poster can't recover from that statement since it's obvious he's in the front line for the jigga troops. And to top that statement Jay'z has gotten dissed by more rappers then Nas. So dissing a rapper means chit on whose better. I'm sorry my nigga but you gotta come better than that lame reason of why a rapper is better then another. Man can't wait for more future sonning on this thread because I know there are going to be some more stupid reasonings on why he's this and that. By the way T/S everybody has their own taste so u can't be mad if some posters here don't have Nas as their number 1. Damn stanning is at an ultimate high right now lately on these boards.

Lol niggas that loves jay and hate nas will never get this part so don't even bother explaining this part. Also niggas try to ignore that esco turned down a presidency role a few times already. I know one was for Atlantic records. LOL at people saying Nas worked under the ROC Label. L.A. Reid was running chit at def jam, not Jay. Jay was just a figure head and i aint mad at the brother but damn I know a lot of rappers was hating on him being president at that time. Nas and Jay both living legends though no matter how much ya hate them.

Posters tend to leave out facts in favor of Jay-Z, i fuck with Hov, but the stannery and fallacies on the IC is crazy, lol.

These threads are always entertaining.

I consider Nas to be the GOAT. He reminds me of the Marvin Gaye of modern hip hop.

As far as him being compared to Jay-Z is concerned, there really is nothing to compare. Nas is leaps and bounds beyond Jay-Z. Everything Jay has done musically, Nas did first and arguably better. Nas has made albums like Reasonable Doubt, but Jay has/will never make an album like Untitled, or as personal as God's Son, etc.

Again, as far as artistry and lyricism go, Nas wins... and every "loss" he takes fuels his music (hence the Marvin Gaye comparison).

Yea funny but it will get worse. I just don't know whats beyond stannery at the moment!!! Its crazy people still catch feelings on this nas vs jay thing and are blinded by the aftermath of these two greats after the battle. I guarantee ignorance will continue on this thread. Aint it crazy when Nas and jay are brought into a thread together the thread turns into diamond?? LMAO!!! 2001 will never leave this website.
