Brady only has better team and postseason success because of his team having a better D than Paytons. This year was the first where Brady didn't have the better D and you see how far he went without it. If anybody says that Payton ain't the better QB, they're just slobbin' Brady's knob better than Gisele could ever dream of doing......

ya boi g;107586 said:LOL.. Yall trippin. Brady hasnt always had the better team, especially on offense. And his D hasnt always been better either.

It wasn't until a couple of years after Dungy came into the picture did they start to get it together. Did you notice how most of their draft choices went on the defensive side of the ball since 2002? Freeney, Mathis, Marlin Jackson, Mike Doss, Cato June, Kelvin Haden, Bob Sanders, Antoine Bethea, Clint Session, etc..... Nearly all of their best players on D came through the draft. They started to gel at around the 2006-2007 playoffs and have been playing better since. They aren't the best, but they take alot of pressure off of Payton. When a good QB can count on his D to make a stop, he'll be considered a great when he's counted on to win the game. All the best QBs have had a great defense to back them up. Montana, Bradshaw, Unitas, etc.....
You can disagree all you want but you can't argue with facts

but, how many of us knew about Austin Collie and Pierre Garcon before this year? how many of us knew about Anthony Gonzalez last year?.....Brady always had the better defense and the BEST offensive line in the league which he still has

ya boi g;107823 said:Slow down. I never said the Colts have always had a good D and I didnt say they had the better D. Thats why they went out and hired Dungy because they wanted him to turn the D around. Hes a defensive coach...... Dude said Brady's team has had a better D than Paytons, which hasnt always been true.
Payton has hurt his team in the playoffs because of bad play and turnovers, when his D has accually played well during the post season. Those are facts you cant argue with.
vageneral08;107832 said:I wouldn't say offensive line now because manning doesn't get sacked really
millz_flybridge;108104 said:only because he got 1 of the quickest releases, they have a mediocre offensive line with the exception of Jeff Saturday
ya boi g;107859 said:Dude.... Payton has always had weapons on offense up until this season. This is the first season he has had to actually play with dudes no one has heard of. And Gonzalez was good in college homie, plus he was drafted in first round. He isnt an unknown..... How long you been watching football?
millz_flybridge;108291 said:Peyton was drafted #1 overrall in 98, when your team is good....you dont get the #1 overrall pick. and i know Gonzalez was a 1st round pick but it was a late 1st rounder, and not only
Brady inherited a team that was already good....a team with the best defense and the best offensive line, with decent offensive talent.....but its way easier to get better on offense then get better on defense
