Im sure we all know the conspiracy on diamonds about how its not rare and the debeers family mines so much but they stash it away so the market never gets over flooded etc...

But on the other hand, women be looking forward to getting married and that day being perfect, which includes the ring the big wedding, and being the center of attention and all that. And with me, my girl held me down when i was driving a old ass nissan altima with hubcaps and would even pay some of my bills when i was struggling cause she lived at home and didnt need money like that. Now that im in a much better place in life i feel like its worth it to let her live that perfect day.

Even though to me its some BS but not everything about me. Thats how relationships work.

honestly in the technology age you can get a great ring anywhere from 4 - 7k depending on cut, size, and clarity if you buy a loose diamond online and then have a jeweler set it. don't worry about the price you spend just get what you can afford. she will love it. my wife's first ring wasn't much. it was flawed like a mutha phucka but she wouldn't take the shit off. we got older and I learned more about diamonds and we had more money to spend I upgraded like many folks do. she still walks around now with the flawed cheap diamond. just get something u feel is decent.

check bluenile and enchanted diamonds. compare them to what you see in the store...more bang for ur buck

wife first ring = 1 carat round, color H, SI1 clarity set in white gold for 4k (straight trash) and fuck what you heard if a nigga going in jared he walking out with a H or I color and SI clarity and spending bout 6 or 7k. if you go to a independent they just making up shit cuz they know our eyes not trained.

wife current ring = 1.06 carat princess cut, color E. VVS1 clarity set in white gold under 10k. purchased loose diamond online and had it checked before and after we set it. I am very happy with it and suggest everyone look online before purchasing in a store.

Bit the bullet and went and got it.

1 carat setting, 1.5 carat peridot gemstone (Peridot is the August birthstone, in honor of her mother who passed away last year....she hinted to this)

F class diamonds, 18k white diamond.

All told: about $3500.

Not bad. The gemstone kept everything really limited, but it definitely helped in terms of cost.
