when you listen to Malcolm x speeches/ watch his tv appearances - you get a higher respect for what Denzel emulated on screen

It's said that this scene is what won Denzel his first Oscar. That nigga took that ass whoopin' like a man. I don't know much about acting put I can tell you a lot was portrayed by the look in his face and crying that one tear. It's that scene, the battle sequences, and end of Private Ryan when at Cap. Miller's grave when Ryan asks his wife, "Am I good man." that has a nigga on that "Carl Thomas," status.
