Maybe it is just a regional thing because I never heard RD till after Blue print came out and the whiteboys were jumping on the bandwagon and to this day I do not hear no one bumping that shit but I heard BopGun yesterday...

We're talking about which album is better, not which was more popular. You live on the West, so you wouldn't have heard anyone bumpin RD back then.

Still, Reasonable Doubt >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Lethal Injection

The overriding consensus is that Reasonable Doubt is a hip hop classic, just like Illmatic, Ready To Die, Me Against The World, The Diary, Death Certificate, Infamous, ect.

Reasonable Doubt shits on a lot of albums track 4 track,(dead presidents, feelin' it,ain't no nigga, can't knock the hustle)? these are just the singles. Now for"filler" you have 22 two's, brooklyn's finest, politics as usual,d'evils, coming of age, regrets, bring it on. This album is a masterpiece period, he redifined the sound of hip-hop with this.I think Cube is one of the goat's aswell but his music sounds dated(not his fault)while RD is timeless so is Illmatic.BTW I was listening to RD just yesterday ;)

only for lame streamers and even then only because most Kats get there opinions between a few sources who have some firm biases, But I also grew up In an era when EPMD paid in full was recognised as a classic(which I hold higher then half the albums you mentioned) we judged thing by how much our peers liked it not what a dj or magazine said though. But you kids are like lemmings and Reasonable Doubts current acclaim and status proves that...

Co-Sign. No one cared when that piece of toilet tissue dropped amongst the classic acts of that time. Niggas was checking for MIC Gerinimo before they were checking for Jay-Z in 96. Revisionist History at it's best. This is what happens when we don't have control over our own creations.

Oh yeah, Cube shits on Jayz all day everyday.

RD didnt refine shit. it brought a biter into the game. RD is a piss poor carbon copy of OB4CL without the talent, emotion, skill and production rae brought to the front. u dudes be saying RD is a classic because you read too many blogs. listen to the album througly and form your own opinion. RD isnt even in the best 5 albums released in 1996. when i think of RD i think of nutty professor and a 27 jay z pedo touching a 15 year old foxy brown. this album made zero impact when it was released. as far as the east coast go Nas had that summer wrapped up. nobody gave a damn about RD. infact it didnt go gold until Jan 02.

Dig it and during the same summer Boot Camp Click put us on real early as to how these niggas was boosting their record sales. Buy your own albums, a scanning device and get to work. Jays and Bleeks Hands prolly still hurting from all the scanning Dame had them niggas doing.

Jay-Z spoke from a boss perspective, the first rapper to do so,Raekwon and Ghost are known in Shaolin as Former stick-up kids and crack-pushers,go listen to cuban linx again,i didn't get the impression that this was a boss nigga RD gave you that impression.Listen to rappers now, who's flow is that ????

And that's the issue here. Jayz wasn't a Boss and didn't have anything locked like he rhymes about. I guess if you got that impression though the truth doesn't really matter? To answer your question that's why 98%+ of industry rappers are garbage today. So, that's doesn't really add any +'s.

i dont know if jay was a boss or not but i do know that someone who is upset with u is more inclined to speak than someone who is happy...with everyone speaking out against jay no one denies that he was is some sort of way connected (they all wanna claim he was they lil son son)...he did a great job with rd

LOL, I hold Fear Of A Black Planet higher than both albums you mentioned, so what does that prove? Nothing. The reason I mentioned the other albums is because they were released roughly in the same era - 1994-1996. You you don't know me and you might not have been anywhere near NY when in 96, but I was in BK bumpin that shit when it came out along with Jeru, MOP, Keith Murray, Big Noyd, Killa Priest, Onyx, Blahzay Blahzay, J-Live, Group Home, Brotha Life, D.U. Showbiz and A.G., Masta Ace, Artifacts, Tragedy, Shabaam Sahdeeq, Three Times Dope, A.B.U. Nation, Centa Of Fa Web, Alley High, Black Moon, G Poetic, Triflicts, Da Fat Cat Clique, Sadat X, & Buckwild. Lethal Injection is dope album, I just think RD is a bit better..
