Most West African traditions i have read into sharemany of the same ideologies, they all originate from one place which is the Nile Valley Civilization, and you can find parallels in all of them, they are all more organic than the Christianity Islam and Judaism are brothers nowadays subscribe to, as a Yoruba man i look to Ifa before i look to Islam, because that is the offspring of my ancestors.
No. No. No. There were other civilizations beside Nile Valley, Garv. Blacks created civilizations in the Fertile Crescent, Holy Land, and the Nile Valley. The Ashanti culture mirrors almost identically the Hebrew customs. The Dogon tribe out of Mali has many traditions and customs that mirror those found in the Holy Land, their oral history says they migrATED eastward.
The mistakes you dudes make(Afrocentric scholars do this purposely because they don't want to acknowledge the Black Abrahamic traditions influence on Black civilization) is you falsely attribute Black civilization exclusively to the Nile Valley. Nothing could be further from the truth. We occupied the Holy Land, Fertile Crescent, and even South East Asia. Matter of fact, scientisit have now connected the Asian civilzations to Black ancestry out of East Africa. You can't say that West African is more organic when the truth is it descended from another place. Most West African are migrants from the Nile Valley, Fertile Crescent and Holy Land. These were the same people. Why do some scholars leave this out? Because they don't want any connection to "religion". But guess what doctor? The Ancinet Egyptians were very religious. Too much so. This was one of the reasons for their demise.
And we learn from those fundamental flaws and build upon it, it doesn't mean that we adopt another religion that is basically a filtered version of what we already have. Your argument makes no sense, you basically said that you wouldn't go backwards to a civilization because of the fact it was conquered by Europeans, then by your Arab Muslim friends.[
Actually I said Arab and Europeans. I made no distinction. And yes, warfare is part of nature. You have to be able to protect what you have. We let the Tamahu in and fell victim to their deceit of divide (Upper Egypt from Lower, in fact this started the conflict because those differed on their view of the invaders) and conquer. And please don't play that BS with me. My friends span many schools of thought. I am not an arab flunkie nor a european one. And no I won't go back. And who said what I have is filtered? It may be. Some people have different views on KMT, Islam, Egypt, etc. it is the application that determines if it filtered. I dont suscribe to no Arab viewpoint of Islam, which is silly point by the way because there is no monolithic view among them. Which Arabs are you talking about/ The ones who subscribe to Wahabism? Or the Ones who are Sunni? How about those affiliated with Al Qaeda who disagree with both. Or how about those like Qadaffi who apologized and acknowledged the Arab involvement in the slave trade and publicly acknowledged that Libya and all of Northern Africa belongs to Blacks and in his Green Book, said that Blacks will prevail in the world?
Yet you fail to acknowledge that by the time Europeans were taking West Africans as slaves, a large percentage of them had already converted to Islam, using that logic why do you still insist on following Islam? You refer to the likes of Mansa Musa, who ironically nearly bankrupt his nation during his pilgrimage to Mecca, yet fail to realize that like the Egyptians the time of Mansa Musa and Timbuktu have gone and past, and for all their grandeur there civilization paled in comparison with the ones on Nile Valley, that came thousands of years before.
I didn't fail to acknowledge it because it wasn't important to the discussion. You yourself know that in Western Africa that there is no large Arab presence. You admitted this. So your argument is bogus. Mansa Musa didn't bankrupt his nation. What he actually did was enrich other parts of Africa on his travel to Mecca. He recognize the importance of sharing wealth. You guys kill me making comparisons of the Nile Valley and other Black civilizations. Instead of celebrating them and recognizing them just being a link in the chain you like to degrade one and exalt the other. How very white of you. Most of you so-called Afrocentrics cause more division than white people with your nonsense religious gang banging. The Nile valley civilization interacted with the Civilizations of the Fertile Crescent(This was our people too) because game recognize game. They did not notice any of that bs you all spout.
You seem to be concerned with just following whats en vogue, but lets establish something, Europeans and Arabs didn't gain power solely by being more intelligent and resourceful, they gained power by being bloodthirsty brutal and harsh. Is this what you want to follow?
What am I a following? I take from all sources, homey. You on the other hand are stuck in the past of a civilization that has long gone and you have nothing but dogma and rhetoric. I do harm to no man. And Garv please Upper Egypt and Lower Egypt were killing each other way before European and Arabs hit the scene. Let's talk about that. You dudes see what you want to see and that is why those who hold onto their Ancient African Civilizations have made no progress in the way of those civilizations, because you are close minded, straight jacketed, and tunnel visioned. I can show you religious orders who are more true to the spirit of KMT, Egypt, and Nubia than a lot of you cats.
Africans have done very little since we started adopting the religions of others.
LOL. It is not other. It is ours. And sorry the invaders were more intelligent and resourceful. They studied you and used your own nature against you. They came at you with a plan that you had no clue of how to master. They forged the split between Upper and Lower Egypt.
Africa is infinitely more advanced than KMT, Egypt, or Nubia. Despite all of its problems. Let us not be silly. They got merked by a bunch of cave boys with with swords and shields. And I did acknowledge in my post that they borrowed our way. What you think I have been saying this whole exchange? And I respectfully say you don't have an organic version you have a watered down impotent version. If what you have is organic it wouldn't take you back it would move you forward. Regression is death. What living thing you know regresses and makes progress? Nothing. Nature doesn't work like that. Well, except for the butterfly and it cocoons itself and breaks all the way down only to build itself up but it doesn't maintain the old form, it builds into something new.
Oh by the way, My cousin who is in the NOI went to Nigeria and the Yoruba priest/king gave Minister Farrakhan a gift of his sword and two horses which is only done symbolically to transfer authority. He was not tripping over religion so why are you?
