We can follow IC posters and celebrities.

All the posters running it can respond to mentions etc. If there is a really good thread, we tweet it out, a hot discussion we tweet it out.

We should follow all IC members(old and new), rappers and the Hip Hop community.

The AHH account is news only basically so I think we shld be more involved especially with posting threads....somebody says something about the thread on twitter...try to get them to comment in the thread instead of going back n forth with them on twitter.

Pretty much. And a lot of posters we've lost over the years have gone to Twitter so it's crazy why we didn't think to follow them before now. But when they start seeing links to discussions on the IC, they may be compelled to come back and join the conversation.

Stew and Cham are prolly aware of this already, so this is for the folks who are less familiar with twitter...a lot of the former IC posters clown the board a lot at times. for example, they'll proudly broadcast themselves as "IC Twitter" today, and then a week later clown someone hard for suggesting actually posting on the IC itself.

Which is pretty stupid when you think about it. Can't be IC twitter w/o the actual IC message board. It's the same people from the IC just talking about the same shit they'd make threads about except on twitter

Unless there's any objections, @Stew & @KillaCham can run the actual account, presumably a week or so at a time...I chose them because they already know how twitter operates and are on there on a somewhat regular basis, but in the future, other mods can run it as well...and if any of y'all who aren't on twitter but wanna get their feet wet, this is as good a jumping off point as any...

The account's already gotten a few followers, and I still have to follow up with Twitter about the @IllCommunity name itself. Once I get the name situation straight, I'm planning on doing a "mass follow", then getting this thang started.

Ok, so the account is up and running...I've only tweeted a lank to the IC so far, lol

I did a lot of following, but left off IC folks whose twitta accounts haven't been active in the last 3 or so months...so if one of y'all are manning the account, and come across an ICer who isn't already being followed, go ahead and follow em, no biggie. and of course there's a few who's names didn't come to mind right away, same thing with them.
