"I want a "Big Pimpin" record!" - J. Cole

i think cole's ability to make hit records will grow. think about it, the best artist did'nt know how to make hit records when they first came out, but then later on went to do it naturally. Like 2Pac and Jay Z (not comparin him to them), when they first dropped, they didn't have any HITS nor did they sell alot of records. But as time went on, they later were able to make hits w/o even trying. I think cole just needs more time to develop as a artist and he will be able to make hits organically. He'll find out what works and what doesn't work. he just needs to find his niche.

Thats one song out of his whole fucking catalog.

The one song he chose to start off the campaign for that sleeping pill he is about to "release"

Well let's add Disgusting

Disgusting didn't get the reaction he was aiming for. Most misunderstood the concept......And that's still only 2 songs.

Sleeping Pill? I doubt it. You obviously have not read any reviews on it yet. Just wait until it drops.....Everyone that has heard the album says it's incredible and definently a classic.

well thats not true, at least in Pacs case. digital underground era 2pac had "I get around" which was a decent hit record with 2pac not trying too hard to package himself or anything... just having fun and rapping in his own style; didnt even look like he was trying too hard in the video. He was just being himself.

Think Cole needs to rethink his expectations.

I'll post some later....I'm at work right now. And Jay hardly ever acknowledges Cole or the rest of his artist. That's just how he handles business.

I can't see that happening. You can't even compare any of his material to Big pimpin.
Country Shit got more play then anything Cole made
