I taught my black kids that their elite upbringing would protect them from racism. I was wrong.

I'm in no way a coon. I'm all support for black strengthening and nation building. Now, we have that out of the way. What's are some tactics can we start putting in place to strengthen the black family and the reality of the world?

This nigga said don't go for casual walks after dark, hell he might as well stayed in a black neighborhood if you are going to do that

exactly my point.

Why you wanna live in a white area and assimilate and have to tip toe and tapdance while wearing khakis and a coon grin?

just to be among rich krakas who dont like yo black ass anyway?

For those who don't know, this dude is the same guy who went undercover at a country club 22 years ago and wrote an article for NY Magazine. He even wrote a book about it.

trying to shelter your kids from racism and teaching them that their above the fray bc of economic status is a sure fire way to raise a coon, black republican or just a plain idiot

Agreed

The author is kinda crazy really. His family was one of the first to integrate a rich white family, and he claims the experience was bad, yet when he has his family, he does his best to surround them with a bunch of white people. How does that make sense?

Integration was a good thing, but people like his parents getting the mindset that the best thing to do with integration was to move over to the white side of town instead of using their newfound rights to help build up the black side of town is part of why black neighborhoods are still fucked up.

So was integration it really a good thing?

I feel for his kids cause they only know how they were raised. As for the father fuck him and all the black people like and his wife. Funny and fucked up thing is when people like him get into some shit they always want to run back to black people for support and like fools most black give them that support and get nothing in return. Cause once the situation is over these people go back to doing, acting and living like they were before which is saying fuck those black people I'm not like or part of them.

Maaaaaaaaan, get the fuck outta here. People REALLY don't get it. Race is race. Preppy clothes, speaking there King's english, going to private school, etc, has no bearing on if certain people look at you as a nigger or not. It just doesn't. You do a disservice to your kids when you handle them as such.

Yes, integration is a good thing. Some people win the lottery and then use the money to screw up their lives. As a result they wind up worse off than they were. The results don't change the fact that winning the lottery is a good thing. Some people are just too stupid to wisely capitalize on such a winfall. The same goes for integration. It opened up a lot of new opportunities for black people that could have been used to uplift the black community. The problem isn't with integration, the problem is that people believed the most important benefit of integration was being able to rub elbows with white people. When in reality, the most important benefit was being able to take a bigger piece of the American infrastructure which could have and should have been used to uplift Black communities.
