Lyrically I think J.cole is dope but album wise he's mediocre and still doesn't have a classic. Outside of that he's dope. Niggas praise Jcole highly because he's the underdog.

2014 FHD classic

You niggas say TPAB isn't a classic but FHD is. TPAB spoke to an era a moment in time (racism, police brutality, self hate, religion). FHD was good but classic iuno bout that, it wasn't better than FNL. But hey you're entitled to your OPINION. J.Cole is praised higher because he's still the underdog. Wait until his next album. You're already seeing it with Kendrick Lamar albeit slowly. In 2 years niggas on the IC will despise Kendrick and say he overrated, only had 1 good album and "fell off" LOLOLOL all because he's going to exceed expectations. It'll happen to J.Cole too.

I'm not "you niggas"

Both albums are classic

I called TPAB one of the greatest albums of all time

"Love Yourz" the modern "Keep ya head up"

Subjective:

Existing in the mind; belonging to the thinking subject rather than to the object of thought (opposed to objective )

Or:

Placing excessive emphasis on one's own moods, attitudes, opinions, etc.; unduly egocentric.

A lot of people in are confusing personal opinion with fact, but what else is new.

Did all you niggas fall for the okey doke again? This is a shit topic by a shit poster in a shit thread. Smh... With that being said...

...Fuck this fuckboy's thread. Freepost, muthafucka...!

Bwahahahaha

To me Kendrick can do lyrically/ flow/ breath control what the other 2 can't do (ie rigamortis)

J Cole is good but lacks consistent energy... I can see how he's seems boring to some

Drake tries but he's just not as lyrically complex as the other two. he does make up for it with his abilities to craft great songs

To me When you average out all their skills it's

Kendrick

Drake

Cole

Kendrick came out with straight fire for his first album and dropped a near classic in GKMC.

But let's be HONEST folks- TPAB was MEDIOCRE. If it wasn't for the Interscope marketing machine and the fact that it was a Kendrick Lamar album, no one would fuck with it. It has ZERO replay value outside of the same 3 tracks everyone talks about. It is annoying as fuck when I hear dudes shit on Nas' Untitled and then turn around and say TPAB is a deep and complex concept classic... please.

J. Cole is the most balanced rapper this generation. He can drop lyrical gems, club bangers, introspective shit, and black out on a track in a way that resonates with just about everybody. However, he does lose energy sometimes and his reliance on his own production hurts potential classic tracks ala Eminem circa 2002. He also dropped the ball with his debut album, as it had little cohesion and some bad features that didn't mesh. But all his material since then has been pretty much fire.

Drake is ass, but not because he has no talent. He sucks because he HAD talent, and let Wayne and the industry change him. Dude was a ready-made commercial goldmine with So Far Gone, but Wayne influenced him to rap with a lazy braggadocio style and he became a formulaic Weezy clone. He also didn't help himself by talking about nothing but haters and being a "real nigga" for 3 albums. We heard you Drake, and we don't believe you- you need more people.

Outta these dudes, J. Cole has the best chance to be a legend at the moment, IMO, but if Kendrick can find his balance again like on GKMC, we may be in for a great rivalry.

Name one J Cole or Kendrick song that's better than Started From The Bottom?

Cartoons and Cereal and Rise and Shine.

Kendrick is clearly the most lyrical and creative

J Cole is the most relatable and passionate vocally

Drake is the most talented towards making hit records

All have strengths. But when it balance out Kendrick is capable of doing all of those things. So it goes

Kendrick

Cole

Drake

Krit

Logic

Nah, Kendrick never made a club banger. I need to check Krit out. Need to check Logic too

Bitch don't kill my vibe was a club banger
