I've seen 30 year relationships succeed without them ever getting married (my grandparents), and I've also seen a lot of relationships fail after they cross the aisle. For example, my grandma had 3 marriages end in divorce until she met my grandpa. I guess marriage was just never something I aspired to have or something that ever appealed or will ever appeal to me.
