All my childhood friends in my neighborhood moving on some military ish by 8th grade. Kinda messed it up for me as I was a reserved individual. I still naturally am now minus the shyness.

Compton High (1987 kicked out in late 89 after school started) at the time I went had 2800 students, 75% black at the time... There was no main popular person because there were many names in the shuffle and it was usually cats from various gangs (not the sports players) and a few cats in various dance crews.
As for myself, I would rate myself a 5 among all. Everyone knew me and where i'm from and all that but I didn't have any special magnetic pull among most people.
BUT I was known for having multiple "girlfriends" at one time on campus all the time I was going there. Compton High is the size of a University being that it was a college before it was turned into a high school

Overall I would say an 8. Freshman year I was a 10 cause I was the new kid from out of town, I was hustlin within the first month of being there so I was cool with all the hood dudes but I fucked with the athletes and girls heavy too. I was just mad social. I was driving and shit.
Towards the end of high school I was more focused on class and I pretty much worked full time so I wasn't into all the bullshit. It seemed like a lot of shit my classmates were getting into I already had participated in that early on cuz all the upperclassmen fucked with me when I first got there so shit was old news. People started to become corny to me so I just chilled but I was still well known. I announced basketball games and shit.
Right now in a college of 40,000 students I'm a 1 out of 10. I'm not known at all and I only chill with a couple girls. I can't relate to most people here.
I'm pretty sure at the high school reunion most of the popular kids will be smoked out lames but I plan on being one of the few whose glory years is ahead of me and not in high school.
