lets face Nelly was basically a party rapper. nothing to write home about lyrically. hes never gonna write anything as introspective as say "One Mic" by NAS. he aint that type of cat
he was more of a PERSONALITY that so happened to rap. he will probably be most remembered for his first hit in 2000 COUNTRY GRAMMAR but i think his best song is HOT IN HERE when the Neptunes backed him that shit was hot that summer. its a 5 mic track to me.
the albums all fall in the 3.25 to 3.75 out of 5 level. cant sign off on Nellyville or any of them being a classic. He had his run but like 50 he sold to his market to the max it exploded and now its over for him as a recording artist!
