Where was I 93-99 I was in the bx fully untuned wit the culture, hot 97 on all day, so I know there were plenty niggas bigger than nas.

More importantly to this this thread 99-2006 I was in the Bronx. And through the the second golden age, Nas was behind dipset gunit and dblock. Now if you are going to pretend Nas was a contender in this era your a dickridin faggot. Bc Nas had so many fails and Ls thru that era. So we're going to act as if " quick to back down " was not what Nas career was relying on at that moment. Once dipset dropped in 2002 after the battle , Nas was an official afterthought in nyc. So kill all that.

Biggie shitted on Nas, Jay shitted on Nas, cam shitted on Nas, 50 shitted on Nas. The only support he had thru the second golden age was jadakiss. Cam had shit wrapped from 02 to 06 . He was looked at as being on the same level as 50 and Jay being the only one above him. That's why you gotta love it was so big. And Curtis changed the rap game. Video for diss records that broke the Internet and forced YouTube to work out a deal with cam and 50 and changed the future of rap. Ether did none of that

NO son he was not thought of as the same, cam never been a major factor in new York, he was always behind dudes weather it be jay, 50, nas, jada, dmx, fab....dipset had a little run but no one realistically can say they had anything locked down ever

"Hot Boyz" is a song by rapper Missy "Misdemeanor" Elliott featuring Lil' Mo. The remix version of the song was an urban hit featuring Nas, Eve and Q-Tip. The remix broke the record for most weeks at number-one on the US R&B chart on the issue dated January 15, 2000; as well as spending 16 weeks at number one on the Hot Rap Singles from December 4, 1999 to March 25, 2000. The song also reached number 5 on the US Hot 100 on January 15, 2000. In the UK, the song became the biggest hit from the Da Real World album; it peaked at #18, being Missy's sixth top 40 and fourth top 20 solo success.

Takeover was bullshit. Nas was on Hot Boyz which broke the record for most weeks at #1.

I know it wasn't on Nas's album, but to say Nas fell off is nonsense.

Is that really the metric you gonna use??? Lmao ok bruh

Nas wrote and co-starred in Belly in 1998. I Am went platinum in 1999, Nastradamus went platinum in 1999 and he was on Hot Boyz which broke the record for most weeks at #1 in 2000. Death of Escobar mixtape was flames.

How can anybody say he fell off in that time period?

Ok bruh let's just say for the sake of argument since you seem to be completely stuck on that one thing nas ain't fall off how does that one thing discredit the WHOLE verse??? Nigga the type to say "Jay ain't shoot nas 70 times in the frame like he said in the verse so takeover ain't got no facts" bruh just stop

But the whole point is that people say Takeover was facts. My point is that Takeover was bullshit. Good song, but it wasn't facts.

One hot album every 10 yr average

Jay was speaking the people's opinion. That is exactly how nyc felt about Nas. That's why the general consensus was that Nas lost bc that is a fact. Ppl were not feeling Nas albums. After illmatic. His next hot album that the general consensus was that it was hot wasn't until after the battle.

I aint listening to other ppl, im remembering what was poppin in the city and the east coast, cam wasnt cracking the top 5 in new york between 99-06

But you could keep trying to rewrite history, just know we all lived it and know the truth

We used to play cam verses when we wanted a good laugh because of how cornball he was with his flow, thats bout it

i used to come home from school n watch rap city everyday. I saw jayz n rocafella wveryyyyday since 99, you know how rare it was that u saw a Nas video on rap city. Jay created other entities ppl like so that kept him out there. Nas always been a doja. He never put nobody on or created anything to keep him in the public eye. He lost just off that fact

Didn't Jay show nas a tech and didn't nas later make a song with a reference of him having a tech??? Fact

Why are you acting like nas never seen a tech before Jigga flashed one on tour? The nigga is from Queensbridge. Do you understand that? Nas is referencing the same tech that he accidentally shot in his room. If you watched "Time Is iLLmatic" and various old pictures of nas in his room showing the gunshots on the wall you would know that what Jigga said is a stretch.

Didn't Jay use nas voice??? Fact

Apparently and not the only time. It's also a fact that he was fiending for a nas feature hence "And, I didn't even give you my number." Jigga had an unhealthy obsession for nas and everyone in the industry knew it.

Didn't Nas himself say he been in it 10??? Fact

He spit his first verse on Live At the BBQ in 91. iLLmatic came out 94. Jigga debuted his first notable verse in 89 on "Hawaiian Sophie." The classic Reasonable Doubt album came out in 96. Jigga saying that he been in it for 5 years is false because he used that as a measure to critique nas while he came out before him.

Nas first 3 albums is heat. His album "I AM" was considered hot and came out the same year as Nastradamus which is considered weak. And that album was rushed and freestyled because of the heavy bootlegging of "I AM... The Autobiography." If it would've came out as a double album as it was suppose to with some of the tracks on Nastradamus and the left over tracks that made it to "The Lost Tapes" it could've been a great album. Nas and DMX were the only rappers that came with 2 albums in the same year that went multi platinum

Blueprint is a classic and flawless although i skip IZZO but i would rather listen to that than that wack ass "Braveheart Party"

You keep saying that you're done talking about it but your hypocritical ass been dragging this shit w/o getting no sleep. That is sad, very sad.

You be calling niggas stans but you fail to realize how much of a camel dickrider that you are. Your Stannery has no boundaries. Seriously, seek help. Go see a psychiatrist and look at some Rorschach InkBlot Cards because you need a camel detoxification.
