He has never made an album that's on that Illmatic, Enter 36 Chambers, Reasonable Doubt,The Diary, Me against the world status, Ready to Die, Paid in Full,etc status and dudes like Nas, Jay,Pac, Biggie,Face, Rakim,etc have never made a shitty album on the level of Encore or Relapse. Encore might be one of the worst albums ever made period.

What exactly is Eminem so call top 5 status based on, he damn sure ain't got no classics and his bad albums are really fucking terrible.

There are lots of rappers out here who got at least 2 classics to most people and critics (Rakim, Nas, Jay,Pac,Face, Cube,KRS,Biggie,etc).

I understand technically Em is nice, but what's the end product out of all that shit. Two 4 mic albums in MMLP,MMShow, two solid joints in SSLP,Recovery, and two wack ass albums in Encore and Relapse.

While Eminem is nice he ain't nowhere near top 10 based on his discography. Eminem is one of these rappers that can lay down a hot verse but can't make a cohesive album. I have rarely seen him get outshined when he lays down a guest verse, but most of his songs are either extremely corny and garbage (The real Slim Shady, Without me, Just lose it, Big Winnie etc.) or whiny Kurt Kobainish. His albums lack any replay value.

He's definitely a top 5 spitter in the game. Catalogue wise... not so much. 99-02 Em was on a GOAT run (all 3 albums are 5 mics, fuck a hater), but after that, son went downhill. Still had bars, but the drugs and the goofy shit fucked up his catalogue. And by the time he got to Recovery, he was spittin lines like "call me Elton John cuz I'm a mean cocksucker". So GOAT list, he's fallen from the 10th spot. But he's still one of my favorite MCs. I disagree with Encore being the worst album ever though, shit had some bangers on it.

None of those albums are better than Reasonable Doubt tho. And even tho I love Reasonable Doubt its lower teir Classic in terms of Illmatic and Ready To Die so how in the FUCK are they 5 mics?

Is De La Soul Is Dead better than Aquemini? Is One For All better than Amerikkka's Most Wanted? Just because an album is better (all objective) doesn't mean it doesn't deserve 5 mics. Oh, and The Naked Truth got 5 mics, so that system is flawed anyway. I just use it loosely to rate albums based on my own opinion, and to me Em's first 3 albums are flawless, regardless if other albums are better, and there are.

You wouldn't rate a great actor as great with shitty movies would you. Dinero, Pacino,etc are great because they have the discography to back it up, numerous classic movies along with their skillset as actors. Catalog is the most important part of an artist legacy.

Those rappers you mentioned haven't released as much garbage material as Eminem has. I remember how heads blasted Nas when he dropped Nastradamus and how fans blasted Jay when he dropped BP2 but neither of those albums were as bad as Eminem's worst albums. If you look at Em's discography you can't do anything but conclude that he's not top 10. Like I said before he released way too much garbage and his albums lack impact and replay value. He's nice, one of the nicest to ever do it, but he can't make songs or drop cohesive albums. If I could compare him to any rapper it'd be Inspactah Deck. Great on other people's sh*t but can't drop hot albums...
