White people that are poor and struggle typically grow up in areas where Rock/Country/Blues is their ticket out not rap. And as far as this whole country shit it's easier in many ways than rap.
If i am poor and white and living rurally i just need to be able to kinda sing and have a marketable tough boy and or pretty boy image. From there i can buy songs in nashville and create an image. I can pay for a dope band to back me up. If i make it 90% of my songs will be ghost written by the country songwriters who are ugly as fuck but can write fo me because I have the style/image that sells.
Past that poor whites who want to make it with musical talent tend to go to blues/rock to make it. And those white kids who grow up poor and try to take rap seriously are laughed out the room.

Because hip hop started as a subculture to give the underdog a voice. Its supposed to be about the struggle and be anti-establishment and most white people belong to the establishment. Nobody wants to listen to a suburban kid rap about how mad he is that his pops wont let him drive the Porsche
