I know Jay Z is seen as a God by New York Rap fans ok cool right

But if i feel his Music is not good or i dont listen to his Albums regularly cos they lack replay value or i dislike his content that has mostly been about hustling and money since 1996 and i feel he is overrated and cant hear emotion in his Music i'm gonna be honest why should i lie just to please Jay Z's hardcore IC fans?

Everyone has an opinion we can only go on our opinion after listening to the Rappers catalouges

A person that has heard all his Albums and says yo i dont like Em that is cool no problem with that

I'm a die hard Jay-Z fan to the heart, but i'm NOT ashamed to say Nicki killed everybody in that track. I listen to that track to hear Nicki honestly. The IC won't admit that one cuz they HATE Nicki.

Hate is such a strong word son, I doubt niggas really hate Nicki they just think she's whack cuz of the way she raps and the buzz that niggas put on her like she's some great female rapper when she's really not. C/s Nicki having the best verse minus those voice changes she did on the song.

she only had the best verse BECAUSE of those voice changes on the track called Monster.

it was the one time being overly animated paid off for her.

it's not like she was really spittin'. she just flowed and delivered well

dis agree nicki flowed nicely but she aint really say nothing she just changed her voice a bunch of times.

jays wordplay and technicals was way better, and he stayed on subject with the concept of the song

nickii went way off topic

Most Jay Z Singles have a feature on the Hook

I used to be a fan of Jay heavy... Him, DMX, and Cash Money was all my niggas back in the 90s/2000s and shit...

But it was right around the Roc A Fella Break Up that I was like... this nigga on some bullshit. Then with all this other shit going on, and the music ACTUALLY being wack over the last 2 years(except for some of his G.O.O.D. Friday verses, SOME), its just like come on nigga

GRODT, Wanksta, In Da Club, Many Men did better by a wide margin than The Black Album, Encore, Dirt off My Shoulder,99 Problems

50 was the biggest thing in rap in 2003 WITHOUT employing Michael Jackson at MSG. He was just hyped.

Jay-Z was ridiculous for that fraud ass retirement shit - he clearly just wanted attention/get out of the Roc-A-Fella situation. He bitched the whole Blueprint 2/ Black Album about not being loved enough. That whole retirement shit was a stunt and still, he couldn't touch 50 at that time.

Jay-Z was TRYING to put himself up there but shit wasn't authentic. I mean, he came back in 06 and was a big story. $10 million dollars in media will do that...MNF spots and commercials out the ass...but ya know how that turned out.

And don't get it fucked up, I'm a real fan of Jay - but real is real.

Jay-Z was not hotter than 50 Cent in 2003.

o thats why 50 opened for jay on the roc the mic tour

I think it wasn't so much what Nicki said in her verse as it was how she said it

I dont really care about Jay Z being in the spotlight or his sales or level of fame

I simply cant play Jay Z's Albums cos i feel they lack replay value and he is not a good Artist i feel his content is so one diminensional and i cant hear emotion in his Music it sounds very bland and boring lacks any soul or pain and i'm not a fan of his voice either Lyrically i dont hear anything special and he doesnt say anything deep or relatable as far as his content

I've heard every Jay Z Album and cant say i bump any to this day cos i just feel they not good enough for me to listen to them

The Black album> any Em album

Probably was the fact that he only had one major album out. I mean, unless you wanted 50 to go on a national tour of Get Rich or Die Trying, No Mercy, Power of the Dollar, etc. material.

Are you disagreeing that 50 Cent was hotter than Jay-Z in 2003?

or

Are you just pointing out the obvious that Jay-Z was a big name in rap, "7 years" and 8 albums in, headlining a tour with big hyped 50 Cent opening for him? (They even had Reebok commercials together too, even though Jay and 50 never really got along. Nice.)

Lemme know breh!
