Also, The Juicy, Big Poppa and One More Chance singles went gold and platinum.

While its true that West Coast albums were outselling East Coast albums, Puff Daddy was producing hit singles that were going gold and platinum.

Real question....why would niggas be afraid or shook of a 5'9 170 lb 2pac?

Pac wasn't about gangsta shit, Pac wasn't ending careers. Why would Biggie, Mobb Deep all them niggas be "shook" over 2pac?

Maybe cause Pac was going at them consistently and they didn't respond back by saying his name at all.

*shrugs*

Nosign. Mobb Deep released Drop A Gem On Em which was on their third album, Hell On Earth. It was a single and Hot 97 was playing it. When 2Pac got shot their record label called Hot 97 and told them to stop playing it.

Drop A Gem On Em - Mobb Deep

Hit Em Up may have been physically released in June but the song came out in March. That's why Big had the line on the Jay-Z album. And Takeover first dropped in August before Summer Jam. Blueprint the album came out in September. Stop using Wikipedia facts to try to rewrite history.

Where is your proof that Hit Em Up came out in March?

It doesn't make sense, if All Eyes On Me came out in February, why (and on what format?) would they release Hit EM Up a month later?

Dropping a Subliminal= Shook

why not say his name??

Everything about how biggie handled the situation showed he was shook. Either you a stan or lack real life evaluation skills if this not obvious to you. His moves in general period showed he was a cowardly snake type nigga who talked big till it got real

"Destiny lays in my hands"- biggie subliminal for nas talking slick about nas daughter then turned around begging nas help.

Shook/snake nigga

Biggie asked nas and Busta for help going at pac, Diddy tried to buy the beat from jdilla

"Biggie called me. He said, 'Let's get together.' He said that everyone was a little nervous about it, but he was calling me about getting busy"- Nas

"S.J.- Biggie wanted you to go at 'Pac with him?

Nas- Yeah. Big was really seeing where his friends was at."

Jdilla confirmed this too

Shook/snake nigga

Randomly dissing Nas subliminally after biting him being a fan of him and asking him to justice League up and take down Pac

Shook nigga

Dissing after dead

Shook nigga

"I fuced your bish"

vs

If faith had twins she's probably have 2 pacs

Shook nigga

His whole dissing then bitching up fiasco with e40

Shook nigga

Big going to LA and getting himself killed with the disrespectful comments and lyrics about pac in the sway interview.

Sway: people say biggie set pacs death

Biggie: I ain't that powerful. .yet

if you don't want to feed into it and puff said no why do it when he died?

Did biggie ever talk openly that slick about pac?  Not until he died.  The only logical explanation is he was scared to,

This victory lap he tried to take and recording long kiss goodnight make it irrefutable unless you a stan big and puff got hella brave after pac was gone ie they thought it was safe to talk now.

Shook/Snake nigga

Dancing naked for Lil cease while eating out a kfc bucket

Tf nigga?

Nore said prodigy was shook and dissed cause he was forced

Prodigy said Jay was shook

Nas said big was shook

All them niggas felt pressure and uncomfortable about what pac/deathrow was doing that's obvious fact

Biggie was the original bite you/diss you and hide hands rapper. He created that lane that Jay adopted that drake uses now. Passive aggressive wimp ish and that always buckles when against overwhelmingly aggressive types. The delusional Big stans tend to be in the same cowardly mold character wise so they try to rewrite history when it was always obvious what was going on. The list goes on and on bigs character as a coward is cemented white washing history won't change that.

Man you hitting them with too much truth! They ain't trying to hear that

According to Shawn Big did indeed warn Pac not to fuck w/ Henchman, Jack, etc. He also said that not only did Pac not heed Big's warning, but that Pac went back to Henchman, Jack, & co and told them what Big had said about them. In turn they sent niggas to discipline (i.e. rob) Big.

Cmon stans...Dont humpty dance around this shit....

Subliminal means coded. So how much subliminal is a song if everyone and their mother know who the song is about? You have to be a total idiot to not know drop a gem on em is not about him

Im a fan of both but more fan of pac. I can say biggie played the innocent role in the whole situation which made pac look like thr bad guy. I think if buffy had biggie go see pac in the hospital none of this would have happened.

But Big did go to visit him in the hospital (or at least went there w/ the intent). Both Pac's father & his aunt Glo have confirmed that.

Go to the 5:30 mark.

As for Biggie being involved in the setup...I've never really believed it but who knows. I remember the Lil Shawn interview on Thisis50.com and he spoke on the vents of that night & the whole situation in general. According to Shawn Big did indeed warn Pac not to fuck w/ Henchman, Jack, etc. He also said that not only did Pac not heed Big's warning, but that Pac went back to Henchman, Jack, & co and told them what Big had said about them. In turn they sent niggas to discipline (i.e. rob) Big.

So looking at it from Big's POV (assuming that all of this is true) not only do you brush me off when I tell you not to fuck w/ them niggas, but then you go tell them niggas what I said about 'em & they send niggas looking for me. I'd probably STFU too...what else could you do at that point?

Lol when did this "Discipling of Biggie" happen?!

Biggie was at Quad Studios with one of Jimmy's people, Lil Shawn.

Don't you think shit would have happened to Big that night as well since you claim Pac told them what Big said?!

Don't you think Biggie would have been killed in NY way before he was killed in L.A. two years later?!

I'm just quoting what he said in the interview. Big wasn't in the studio w/ Lil Shawn that night. He was there w/ JM working on Conspiracy & their session was a few floors above his session. Lil Shawn was there for the session w/ Pac, but according to him he didn't even wanna do the song. Henchman & Andre Harrel basically forced him to do it. Andre Harrel was the co-producer of NY Undercover & wanted Pac on the show so the song w/ Shawn was basically a way to get Pac to appear on the show.

Big comments to Pac about them cats & the subsequent action happened before that. Pac even admitted that Big warned him about them dudes prior to the shooting. Why do you assume everything had to happen at the same time? Furthermore why do you assume they would kill Big (especially since they were eating off of Bad Boy)? That makes no sense. Jimmy Henchman himself admitted years ago that Pac was supposed to be "disciplined" that night in NY. They were supposed to just rob him & stomp him out for talking reckless. They panicked & shot Pac b/c Pac went for his own gun. If they didn't even wanna kill Pac why would they kill Big? That's not even logical.

I stand corrected...it was The Combat Jack Radio Show. Anyway go to around the 1:05:00 mark & he starts to talk about when he 1st met Pac b/c he was friends w/ Haitian Jack, etc & goes from there.

Its funny seeing folk just rewrite history. I remember the passive aggressive tone from biggie in interviews and the slick liness in songs after pac died. Now all of a sudden biggie the victim Smh

People super hypocritical and hard headed. Not getting on Biggie for not responding to the most disrespectful diss record ever when you supposed to be some top mc is completely contradictory to everything hip hop is about.

A lot of the people dick eating in the thread is the reason the rest of the country look at us like funny boys.

Pac died 90 days after Hit Em Up was released.

Big just didn't have the proper amount of time to address the situation. How hard is that to understand?

People use the "chess not checkers" analogy all the time. If somebody disses you like that you're not gonna rush to the studio and make a hasty diss (like Jay did with SupaUgly) You're gonna plan it out and strike accordingly. But Pac died while Big was in the process of responding.

Come on man, most of us love Biggie here, including myself, but this isn't true. Pac dropped the most disrespectful song in the history of not just rap, but mankind. Biggie by all estimates is a lyrical genius, he didn't need no "process" to respond, he was shook and was intimidated by 2pac's star power, I'm not sure why some Biggie fans feel the need to deny this, it is what it is. Both Pac and Biggie eventually lost their lives over the beef so you can argue both took an L, but Biggie was understandably scared of 2pac's power.

Biggie was a freestyle king since he was 17, he didn't need a process to diss anyone. He probably freestyled a nice diss to 2pac in his head but knew dropping that record would turn most of the hip-hop community against him.

Because 2pac had almost universal respect from his peers and the hip-hop fanbase at the time, he was a powerful figure and his word mattered. And 2pac being gangsta is debateable but he was far from soft, he shot at two cops, wounding both in the street, and was known for being a fighter. 2pac was also known to roll deep and while Biggie rolled deep too, 2pac was known for being a little crazier. Crazy niggas with a gun can scare a lot of people, the original 50 Cent was 5'2 and had niggas terrified.

Biggie did confront 2pac in person, true, but Biggie didn't really do shit.

1. First of all regarding the shooting at Quad Studios. There's one basic question that none of the Pac stans have answered; What would be Biggie's motive for setting up 2Pac to get robbed? The way I see it, Biggie would have nothing to gain by setting 2Pac up.

2. You guys keep saying over and over again that Biggie should have responded as soon as he heard Hit Em Up. I broke down the math; 2Pac was shot 83 days after Hit Em Up was released and died on the 90th day. You guys are saying that Biggie had enough time to respond. But Nas OFFICIALLY responded to Takeover 84 days after it was released. I've been on the IC for several years now and I've never heard anybody comment that Nas waited an unusually long time to respond to Takeover.

My point is that if Nas waited 84 days to respond to Takeover, its not unreasonable to think that Biggie was waiting for the right time to respond and Pac died unexpectedly.

Biggie did diss Pac...unofficially..... But it was after Pac died on the "Life After Death" album. "MY DOWNFALL" and "Long Kiss Goodnight" was about Pac. He even let Jay throw a jab in on "I Love The Dough" Jay says "Same night same fight, but one of cats aint playing right, i let you tell it (referring to the Tyson fight Pac was at before he was gunned down) go back and listen to the songs and verses people.

Why dafuq niggas keep using nas as the scale for time limits between disses like that's the bar??? What do what nas did gotta do with this situation??? Nothing..... Nigga don't need 3 months to drop a track and again if you wanna use nas then nas at least still drop stillmatic freestyle to LEAD UP to ether which last time I checked didn't take 84 days to be released..... The fact that there are stories of ppl telling big let's get him and big was telling em no proves the shit had nothing to do with not having enough time
