Everybody nosigned me, but consider this;

When LL and Kool Moe Dee were beefing, Kool Moe Dee sent out the first shot in 1987, they went back and forth a few rounds and LL didn't drop To Da Break Of Dawn until the spring of 1990 (it was on the House Party Soundtrack). The final diss was Death Blow by Kool Moe Dee which came out in 1991.

If that was the protocol then Biggie might have thought that their beef was going to take several rounds of back and forth. He might have expected the beef to take years.

According to wikipedia,

All Eyez on Me is the fourth studio album by American rapper 2Pac, released on February 13, 1996 under Death Row Records and distributed by Interscope Records.

"How Do U Want It" is a hip-hop song performed by Tupac Shakur. The third single from his album All Eyez on Me, it features R&B duo K-Ci & JoJo, who at the time were best known as the lead singers of Jodeci. The song debuted June 16, 1996. It was a Double A-side single to "California Love" in America, and the song reached #1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and #17 in the UK in 1996.

So according to wikipedia, All Eyes On Me was released on Feb 11, 1996 while the EP containing Hit Em Up was released on June 16 (which by my recollection seems about right). 2Pac was shot on September 7, 1996.

2Pac was shot 83 days after Hit Em Up was released.

In comparison, Takeover was released on Sep 11, 2001 and Ether came out on December 4, 2001. Ether was released 84 days after Takeover

2Pac was shot 83 days after Hit Em Up was released and died on the 90th day.

Ether was released 84 days after Takeover was released.

If Biggie waited the exact same amount of time Nas waited to release Ether then 2Pac would have been laid out in the hospital when Big released his diss.

I stand by my original theory that 2Pac died before Biggie got a chance to respond.

Damn seems like Ether came out sooner than that but I guess not. Nas did release the mixtape joint but it was light and most never heard it.

Big took a few shoots at Pac on the Badboy mixtape with Puff talking shit on it but most of these young niggas on here never heard that mixtape also the tape didn't get pushed a lot cause Pac got killed right after it dropped.

BTW Most of these Pac stans can't name you one song off Pac's first tape without Google. Damn shame both of these brother's are dead over bullshit and lame niggas still argue over THEIR beef.

Quite a few rappers dissed Pac after Hit Em Up.

You got a gat you better find it

And use that shit, think fast and get reminded

Of robberies in Manhattan, you know what happened

60 G's worth of gun clapping

Who shot ya?

You probably screamed louder than an opera

New York got ya, now you wanna use my mob as a crutch

What you think you can't get bucked again?

Once again

Everything about how biggie handled the situation showed he was shook. Either you a stan or lack real life evaluation skills if this not obvious to you. His moves in general period showed he was a cowardly snake type nigga who talked big till it got real

"Destiny lays in my hands"- biggie subliminal for nas talking slick about nas daughter then turned around begging nas help.

Shook/snake nigga

Biggie asked nas and Busta for help going at pac, Diddy tried to buy the beat from jdilla

"Biggie called me. He said, 'Let's get together.' He said that everyone was a little nervous about it, but he was calling me about getting busy"- Nas

"S.J.- Biggie wanted you to go at 'Pac with him?

Nas- Yeah. Big was really seeing where his friends was at."

Jdilla confirmed this too

Shook/snake nigga

Randomly dissing Nas subliminally after biting him being a fan of him and asking him to justice League up and take down Pac

Shook nigga

Dissing after dead

Shook nigga

"I fuced your bish"

vs

If faith had twins she's probably have 2 pacs

Shook nigga

His whole dissing then bitching up fiasco with e40

Shook nigga

Big going to LA and getting himself killed with the disrespectful comments and lyrics about pac in the sway interview.

Sway: people say biggie set pacs death

Biggie: I ain't that powerful. .yet

if you don't want to feed into it and puff said no why do it when he died?

Did biggie ever talk openly that slick about pac?  Not until he died.  The only logical explanation is he was scared to,

This victory lap he tried to take and recording long kiss goodnight make it irrefutable unless you a stan big and puff got hella brave after pac was gone ie they thought it was safe to talk now.

Shook/Snake nigga

Dancing naked for Lil cease while eating out a kfc bucket

Tf nigga?

Nore said prodigy was shook and dissed cause he was forced

Prodigy said Jay was shook

Nas said big was shook

All them niggas felt pressure and uncomfortable about what pac/deathrow was doing that's obvious fact

Biggie was the original bite you/diss you and hide hands rapper. He created that lane that Jay adopted that drake uses now. Passive aggressive wimp ish and that always buckles when against overwhelmingly aggressive types. The delusional Big stans tend to be in the same cowardly mold character wise so they try to rewrite history when it was always obvious what was going on. The list goes on and on bigs character as a coward is cemented white washing history won't change that.

The same niggas giving all these excuse for why it was ok for Big not to respond are the same ones who was giving Meek 47 minutes to respond to a song questioning if a damn tour called "prinkprint tour" was really his tour or his girl tour....Big and Puff ain't want no smoke simple

Bruh it was a different era. Niggas weren't dropping diss records within 24 hours of each other like they do today.

Real question....why would niggas be afraid or shook of a 5'9 170 lb 2pac?

Pac wasn't about gangsta shit, Pac wasn't ending careers. Why would Biggie, Mobb Deep all them niggas be "shook" over 2pac?

Im a fan of both but more fan of pac. I can say biggie played the innocent role in the whole situation which made pac look like thr bad guy. I think if buffy had biggie go see pac in the hospital none of this would have happened.

But Big did go to visit him in the hospital (or at least went there w/ the intent). Both Pac's father & his aunt Glo have confirmed that.

Go to the 5:30 mark.

As for Biggie being involved in the setup...I've never really believed it but who knows. I remember the Lil Shawn interview on Thisis50.com and he spoke on the vents of that night & the whole situation in general. According to Shawn Big did indeed warn Pac not to fuck w/ Henchman, Jack, etc. He also said that not only did Pac not heed Big's warning, but that Pac went back to Henchman, Jack, & co and told them what Big had said about them. In turn they sent niggas to discipline (i.e. rob) Big.

So looking at it from Big's POV (assuming that all of this is true) not only do you brush me off when I tell you not to fuck w/ them niggas, but then you go tell them niggas what I said about 'em & they send niggas looking for me. I'd probably STFU too...what else could you do at that point?

I don't think it's fair to compare Nas taking 84 days to respond because he purposefully waited until jay-zs birthday to release ether to make that dissemination track even more disrespectful,

What was biggie waiting on that it took almost 3 months with no response? I understand wanting to take time to craft a good response but there is such a thing as waiting too long,

But this looks like it would have been a good topic for the ICs hip hop debates

Maybe cause Pac was going at them consistently and they didn't respond back by saying his name at all.

*shrugs*

Hit Em Up may have been physically released in June but the song came out in March. That's why Big had the line on the Jay-Z album. And Takeover first dropped in August before Summer Jam. Blueprint the album came out in September. Stop using Wikipedia facts to try to rewrite history.

Oh yea and Nas already came directly at Jay on the Stillmatic freestyle over the Paid in Full beat and he made another diss before that too so stop trying to compare.

Which came out a month before Ether which preceded the release of Stillmatic later that month. And which song did Nas directly diss Jay on before the Stillmatic freestyle?

Niggas act like Big was on a time limit, he didn't know that nigga was going to get himself killed. He might have responded the next year or two years later or maybe he had no intention of returning fire, nobody knows because the nigga 2pac died. Once a nigga is dead beef is pretty much over.

Nosign. Mobb Deep released Drop A Gem On Em which was on their third album, Hell On Earth. It was a single and Hot 97 was playing it. When 2Pac got shot their record label called Hot 97 and told them to stop playing it.

Drop A Gem On Em - Mobb Deep

Where is your proof that Hit Em Up came out in March?

It doesn't make sense, if All Eyes On Me came out in February, why (and on what format?) would they release Hit EM Up a month later?

Niggas used diss records to promote albums. Big didn't have an album, if he were going to wouldn't it make sense to wait until he had something come out?

......

But that nigga got killed...no point. Niggas wasn't under no pressure to rush out records.

Lol when did this "Discipling of Biggie" happen?!

Biggie was at Quad Studios with one of Jimmy's people, Lil Shawn.

Don't you think shit would have happened to Big that night as well since you claim Pac told them what Big said?!

Don't you think Biggie would have been killed in NY way before he was killed in L.A. two years later?!
