It takes 5 years to build a reputation and one tweet to destroy one.
He needs a filter to know when and how to respond to certain things, and to tell him "no" when he comes up with something that doesn't need to be said/tweeted about. Whether he wants to admit it or not, those remarks hurt his reputation which is why now he's doing interviews explaining the shit. You can remember the goofy shit he said better than the last song he put it out.... That's a problem. Gates is an intelligent dude and he needs to put that part of him out there more and move a little differently.
