depends on the voter. there are a lot of conservatives who are either not racist (really) or not racist enough to not vote for Cain. but there's always going to be a core of them that won't.

Obama didn't even win down here so you know cain won't. I don't trust cain though. He seem like that nice usher at your church that be looking and groping underage girls when no ones looking.

I can guess why the mostly southern Republican Party and its donors haven't helped him out too much yet. Having another Black man as president is too much of a culture shock for most Republicans in the long run so as much as they personally like him, they don't really want him as prez. Hey, I could be wrong but I'm willing to bet Romney will be the nominee for 2012.

Naw, you should hear the radio station in Atlanta. They think of him more highly than Blacks did for Obama. They really do. I think you guys from the North really don't understand how popular Cain is in the South.

Naw, it has nothing to do with White guilt. More like they just like Cain a lot more than the others. They aren't the type to believe in White guilt. I live here and work with them and been on the scene so I know.

this, however, is not about Cain not being acceptable to most Republicans as much as it's about Romney looking relatively presidential and being seen as the most electable. we're getting to that time where people are going to have to come to terms with electability in their candidate(s).

there might be a misunderstanding here; i am not saying Cain has NO negatives or that Palin ever polled well. she didn't. but people HATE Palin in a manner they do not about Cain. on her best day of polling, she still had major negatives; Cain did not and does not (which, again, is not to say he has NO negatives).
