The dude who played obi wan in the original star wars trilogy hated the franchise, but he knew it was going to be successful, so instead of signing on for a lump sum of money, he signed on for shares of the franchise. It was a low percentage, but the franchise has been so successful that its made him a multi millionaire. Dude makes money off of everything. Toys, movies, books. He probably doesnt get money anymore with the purchase from disney, but he definitely got a nice chunk of money when they were bought.
