Ima pretend you didn't compare the Huns to the Dothraki.

I hate when people do that. You take the greatest, most singularly rare example, and make it the rule.

The most technologically advanced culture wins throughout history. And technology includes but is not restricted to science, medicine, travel/transportation, agriculture and military innovation. All of which the dothraki lacked to the umpth degree.

Did you not see the fight between Drogo's #1 man and Jorah? Jorah hasn't fought in real combat in probably 16yrs (estimation based upon Dani's age). And he straight smashed dude. Lol I don't understand how this is even a discussion. Jorah had to explain to Dani's "bodyguard" how armor and a straight edged sword was superior to the Dothraki's curved sword in like the 2nd episode.

I have no idea what this post is even supposed to mean. First, why would you pretend I didn't compare the Huns to the Dothraki when it's pretty clear the Huns are a inspiration for the Dothraki.

Second, no one said that the most technologically advanced culture doesn't usually win, but to say they always win is just false. There are more factors than technology that impact which direction a war goes. Not only that, but many of Rome's greatest threats and defeats came from Tribal peoples. Not just the Huns, but the Germanic tribes, and even Hannibal and the Carthaganians were probably less technologically sound than the Romans. Hell, the scariest group in the history of mankind is probably the Mongols and they would probably be considered a tribal people. You're exaggerating about how rare victory for the underdog is. History is littered with examples of people who were outmanned and/or outgunned and won. And that's real life. What we are discussing is a fictional story. It is not nearly as crazy as you're making it seem for the Dothraki to be written as a credible threat.

And a pretty important thing that you're missing out on is that the 7 Kingdoms are not strongly united. For goodness sake, they are fighting each other this very moment. Add to that the fact that the Dothraki would be coming with their Khaleesi being someone that many in the 7 Kingdoms believe is the rightful ruler of the throne.

Also, what the hell does the people in the 7 Kingdoms being more agriculturally advanced than the Dothraki have to do with anything. The Dothraki weren't going their to colonize. They were going there to conquer. It's silly that you're even arguing about this since it was discussed in the show. The Queen scoffed at the damage the Dothraki could do and King Robert, the great warrior was the one that set her straight on the matter.

And did you actually watch Jorah's fight? Drogo's man was knocking him around effortlessly. He was barely even trying, and Jorah had to rely on his armor and take the chance at trapping the guy's weapon to even open an opportunity for counterattack. In other words, Jorah only won because the guy didn't take him seriously and because Jorah was armored.

Based off what??? What is the factual evidence. Finish this sentence....The dothraki are inspired by the huns because..........

1. You're comparing the most advanced civilizations amongst the most advanced. The 7 kingdoms vs the Dothraki is not an equal comparison.

2. You obviously know nothing about the Carthaginians

3. You do realize that all the civilizations you are comparing to the Romans went through some kind of Metal ages right? You do realize the Dothraki haven't? This point alone destroys your credibility of comparing the Dothraki to any of of the "great" civilizations

No they wouldn't. You should really stop talking.

The Mongol Empire (Mongolian:About this sound listen (help·info) Mongol-yn Ezent Güren; Mongolian Cyrillic: Монголын эзэнт гүрэн; Mongolian script: ᠋᠋᠋ᠬᠠᠯᠬ ᠎ᠠ), initially named as Greater Mongol State (Mongolian: Ikh Mongol Uls) was a great empire during the 13th and 14th centuries. Beginning in the Central Asian steppes, it eventually stretched from Eastern Europe to the Sea of Japan, covered Siberia in the north and extended southward into Southeast Asia, the Indian subcontinent, and the Middle East. It is commonly referred to as the largest contiguous empire in the history of the world. At its greatest extent it spanned 6,000 mi (9,700 km), covered an area of 33,000,000 km2 (12,700,000 sq mi),[1] 22% of the Earth's total land area, and held sway over a population of 100 million.

The Mongol Empire emerged from the unification of Mongol and Turkic tribes in the region of modern-day Mongolia under the leadership of Genghis Khan, who was proclaimed ruler of all Mongols in 1206. The Empire grew rapidly under his leadership and then that of his descendants, who sent invasions in every direction.[2][3][4][5][6][7] The vast transcontinental empire which connected the east with the west would eventually function as a cultural "clearing house" for the Old World. Under the Mongols, new technologies, various commodities and ideologies were disseminated and exchanged across Eurasia; the exchanges ranged from cartography to printing, from agriculture to astronomy.[8][9]

No, you're exaggerating how frequently the underdog wins. That's my point. Especially when the underdog is as inferior as the Dothraki. Do you realize that if Ser Jorah isn't there, Khaleesi is easily poisoned? Such a simple precaution as not letting your queen drink random ppls shit lets me know that the Dothraki just know how to fight and pillage. They lack tack. They lack strategy. But of course you ignore this.

1. Who are these ppl? Y'all keep going of of Ser Jorahs words yet you have no proof. You couldn't even name which of the 7 kingdoms is sympathetic to the Tygareans. Don't worry I'll wait....

If you understood history, you'd know that you couldn't be a civilization without strong agriculture. Because by definition civilization or civilized means permanent settlement. And the agriculture revolution allowed ppl to permanently settle. Thus having confidence in ones food supply allows you to focus on other things. Hence why a boost in agriculture was followed by a golden age.

So which was the primary reason for Jorah winning? Or will you cop out and say its 50/50 now? Cause at the end of the day the #2 guy in the tribe died at the hands of a old fart bag

Based on Ned & Robert’s conversations regarding the Dotharki they were a legimate threat to the 7 Kingdoms. It seemed like they had the greater advantage in pure numbers, were the more skilled horsemen and better archers. They were a unit meanwhile the 7 Kingdoms are very fragmented. In addition their warrior’s mentality would have been a key asset. The Dothaarki were bred for combat and that’s pretty much all they did. Conversely in the 7 Kingdoms only royalty, knights & royalty were trained in war. That’s why Jon was able to distinguish himself at the Wall. The average peasant has never picked up sword and those are the ones that would have made up the rank and file of the Westeros army. The Kingdoms were more advance that advancement could lead to complacency. Look at Robert, homie couldn’t even put on his armor anymore he gotten so fat.

It could have been comparable the battles in 300 where Xeres had the greater force & techonology but the Spartans were able to hold their hold. But of course this is all in a fictional setting so any argument is irreleveant at this point since Drogo is dead.

I agree with everything, except nobody supporting the Dothraki's has brought up that Ned/King Robert specifically said that out in the open they would have the advantage. But once they passed through some mountain pass it was a wrap.

I saw this a mile away while others were clinging onto the fairytale bonnie and clyde thing. I had my money on Drogo dying and/or Khaleesi ripping the Dothraki apart. So far I'm 2 for 2. And have factual evidence to back it up.
