No such thing as a main character.. just Point of View (POV) characters..

yup! I love the no main character thing. I love even more how ppl are upset about it. Like get over it b....this is what we need more of nowadays. How can I really be in suspense if I know certain character will never actually die?

The closest we ever got to this was 24. And even Jack Bauer rose from the dead multiple times cause that show couldn't go on without him.

Definitely, the only real outrage I can see is people complaining that the "headliner" of the show is dead in Sean Bean (which actually makes two with Mark Addy to a lesser extent) but I'm happy the way the producers chose the actors for this show so with Sean Bean as one of the POV characters and him playing the likable Ned it helped give the show credibility, attracted an audience, also helped people realize just how good the show is on its own. So more people will come back to it because they enjoy the show not just some actors.

With that said I read the producers are still looking to bring in some names to play the roles of new characters for season(s) to come. From the next book..

Ser Davos Seaworth
Stannis Baratheon

word. the best part of the show is the unpredictability. you watch too many shows now and you know how shit is gonna go down but a select few shows really keep you on the edge of your seat

Well if you've watched HBO shows consitently, you shouldn't be thrown off by the constant deaths. I mean Oz, the Wire, and even the Sopranos to some extent all involved important and well liked characters getting offed at unexpected times.

i felt more bad the daughters being there watching their dad get offed them the beheading itself i didnt like Ned that much did he get a W at any point during this season??

the Lannisters are the stars ( IN MY OPINION) and how they react off people

all 3 of the siblings i find VERY interesting especially jamie dude fucked his sister but i like how he cares about tyrion (tryna get him some puss when they were younger)

Like dude said, they shouldve shown Jaime's fight before he got taken down. They can't keep cutting out fight scenes like that, I mean show some part of the battles.

Agreed and what I hear in the book it's suppose to be a good fight scene.. "He cut through 10 of our soldiers before we took him down!" Yea Jaime is a badass, Robb made the right decision not shootin him a head up fade.

but even in the book they didnt show the scene. It was from Cat's POV and she gets the report after the fact.

There was a battle that Tyrion was involved that they completely cut. It would've been cool to see Tyrion 'earn his stripes'

yeah I hear u. But if they did every battle or fight they woulda ran out of budget by episode 5. LOL. But seeing how well the show is doing they'll probably have an even bigger budget next season so we can see some more actual battles.

yeah my cousin has read the books and said season 2 got some massive battles in. So like you said hopefully they get a bigger budget and season 2 should be the shit.

Maaaan, im trying to see Jaime cut through 10 dudes, with all this hype built for how nice of a swordsman he's suppose to be I want to see it happen. Even Ned was shootin him a fair one in his somewhat advanced age. I read about the Tyrion fight scenes a bit and people were saying it may have came off weird? And maybe too unrealistic even.. i dunno. I didn't want to read any deeper to see what exactly went down going into that last episode. I may have to go back and read for myself if I get the chance.

I think it would have cool if they showed it too. It would have been cool to be tricked into thinking it was all for nothing until you realize they had Jamie.

Same here.

How many books are there and is it true that the story is still ongoing?

The new book is out next month and there are 3 prequel books out. The author takes like 4 years 2 write every book. So i dont know what the TV show gonna do when they catch up with them. Im going to get the books next week i think.

Yeah thats why they filmed it the way they did. They never want the viewer to be ahead of the plot. So they want you to be just as surprised as the characters.

So when the Imp gets knocked out, we get knocked out. When he comes to, we come to. When he finds out there was no battle versus 20,000 men..........the director changes the scene to Jamie Lannister getting captured. And all of this happens at the same time that Ned Starks gets decapitated.

The director doesn't want you to fall in love with the battle. He wants you to fall in love with the future implications of the fight. Not to mention we just saw a sword fight last episode and we saw a sword fight with at the tygarean place. Too many sword fights makes em redundant.
