Facebook went to shit when the 40+ crowd got on board. Its just full of bad memes now. These dumb fucks will share anything. They are duped by every little shit post. Not internet savvy at all.

Sorta.

They blocked me out for using my IC moniker instead of my real name.

Said I had to send them 2 pieces of ID if I wanted access to it again.

Smh, niggas must've lost their damn minds......and I'm not even on there like that.

There is something going on if you comment on news articles or something and they don't approve of what you're saying.

Didn't have any problems until I started doing that.

Not providing ID to be on any social media site.

Facebook been dead since it replaced myspace.

I still remember when it was pretty much a college student only thing.

Instagram taking over though. Does everything facebook does and is far less intrusive.

Havent been on the book for a year.

Fun Fact:

Instagram is actually owned by facebook.

They bought them out back in 2012:

Is the Moorus app out yet? I'm ready to stop fuckin wit FB anyway

Not yet. Tariq said they're doing beta testing. I really wished he would have kept shit under wraps. Had all the shit done and was like, "Hey y'all. Since Zuckerberg is on some Suckerberg shit, I'm presenting y'all with an alternative and it's going live in "x" amount of time. I'm sure he's going to come through though. Unlike like Tommy with Fatherless America.

Facebook Myspace isn't going to be dead because it's nothing out that can replace it

Circa 2007 Tom @ Myspace said the same damn thing.

Sears

Kodak

Blockbusters

Companies only stay on top for a few reasons

Barriers of entry too high, expensive too much rules and regulations that they lobbied for.

They buy out or crush anything that looks like real competition

There's more but Facebook ain't selling shit, it's not like it's Amazon, they're just connecting people. They can be replaced ( maybe)

I'm really surprised that Blockbusters and Hollywood Video went away. You would think that they would have knew that streaming was that new technology and they would have needed to fuck with. Just off of the strength of saving money on the overhead involved in running B&M locations.

They basically buy out the competition.

One of the smartest moves Zuckerberg made was buying out instagram for only $1 Billion.

Instagram's worth about $24 billion now.

Same thing when they paid $20 billion for WhatsApp a few years back.

On the surface $20 billion might've seemed like too much, but that company had over 500 million users at the time they bought it.

So, it might've been worth it to pay that much for it just to avoid having to compete with them in the future.

Basically, as long as FB has over a billion users and a huge stockpile of cash.........they'll be able to buy out any company that they see as a future threat.

Some might say Snapchat is competition, but......a month or so ago......Instagram incorporated every feature that Snapchat has.

So how long will Snapchat be able to compete with.......not FB in particular..........but a FB subsidiary (Instagram)?

I've never used Facebook so I never knew they ask people to send ID. Fuck that, no social media site should be asking for ID, and if anyone is that stupid to voluntarily hand it over to them then the joke is on them. Do they not already have enough info on people?

Instagram turned to shit the moment Facebook bought them. Having a photo feed that doesn't even run chronologically any more has made it a total mess.

Same business principals apply to nature, as they do in modern society.

When you fail to adapt to a changing environment, you're species ceases to exist.

These brick & mortar institutions tend to be stubborn & archaic when tsunami's of change dangle over the horizon.

The business model Fedbook has successfully used is the concept of Ethnography.

It's the presentation of empirical data on human societies and culture. Couple that with the Thymotic urge, which is the human yearning to be recognized, and you've got yourself a company worth billions.
